boldness to share the gospel

Boldness to Share the Gospel

Now more than ever, the world needs courageous believers who will not stand back in silence but rise up with boldness to share the Gospel. Faith in Jesus Christ is not something to be hidden; it is meant to be declared boldly! Every believer has the privilege and responsibility to speak truth, even in the face of opposition. When we proclaim the Good News of Jesus, we bring light into darkness, healing into brokenness, and eternal hope into a world desperate for answers.

Charlie Kirk lived this truth with unwavering conviction. He boldly shared the Gospel and championed civil conversations among people who disagreed, refusing to let hatred divide. We were shocked and saddened to hear of his assassination on September 10, 2025. Charlie’s courage cost him his life, and we honor him as a martyr for Christ. While his death is tragic, his life is a testimony of fearless faith and serves as a rallying cry for us to live with the same determination. The call remains for every believer: proclaim Jesus, no matter the cost!

Why Boldness Matters

The early church thrived because men and women spoke boldly about Jesus. The apostles declared His resurrection in the face of fierce persecution. The book of Acts repeatedly says they “spoke the word with boldness,” even when imprisonment, beatings, or death threatened them. Their courage sparked revival across nations, and the same Spirit empowers us today.

Boldness to share the Gospel is not natural confidence but supernatural empowerment. The Holy Spirit fills believers with courage that surpasses human fear. Paul reminded Timothy, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear does not come from God. Courage does!

When we share our faith boldly, we release truth that transforms hearts. Silence robs others of the opportunity to hear the hope of salvation. Our words, backed by the Spirit, can lead someone from eternal death into eternal life.

God’s Protection in the Face of Danger

The thought of persecution or even death can paralyze us if we allow it. Yet Scripture consistently shows that God protects His people. Psalm 91 declares that no evil will befall those who dwell in His presence. Angels surround and defend those who trust Him. Many times throughout history, God has delivered His people from harm in miraculous ways.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego walked through a fiery furnace without even the smell of smoke on their clothes. Daniel emerged untouched from a den of hungry lions. Peter walked out of prison after an angel opened the doors. Church tradition tells us that they tried to martyr John on multiple occasions, yet he came out unscathed each time. Even Jesus walked through a crowd determined to murder him because it wasn’t yet time for His crucifixion. These accounts are not just ancient stories—they are living reminders that God does shield His children when they step out in faith.

Still, God’s protection does not mean believers will never face danger. Jesus Himself said, “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). His victory assures us that even when opposition rises, His presence remains unshakable.

Stephen: The First Martyr and a Heavenly Vision

Stephen’s story in Acts 7 gives us an incredible example of courage. As he proclaimed Christ to a hostile crowd, they grew enraged and stoned him to death. Yet Stephen did not back down. He looked to heaven and saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God. Even as rocks struck his body, his spirit overflowed with peace. His final words echoed those of Christ: “Lord, do not charge them with this sin” (Acts 7:60).

Stephen’s martyrdom reminds us that the worst the world can do is still only temporary. Death does not end our story—it ushers us into eternal glory. His vision of Jesus standing—not sitting—at the Father’s side demonstrates that Christ Himself rose in honor of His faithful witness. For the believer, martyrdom is not defeat. It is victory.

Paul’s Perspective on Life and Death

Paul knew persecution well. He endured beatings, imprisonment, and countless threats on his life. Yet his writings overflow with courage and eternal perspective. In Philippians 1:21, he declared, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Death held no fear for Paul because he knew his eternal destiny. Living meant fruitful labor for God, but dying meant being forever with the Lord he loved.

This perspective strips death of its sting. When we see eternity clearly, fear loses its grip. Death is not the end but the doorway into perfect fellowship with Jesus. Paul’s words comfort us today: we cannot lose. If we live, we live for Christ. If we die, we enter eternal joy.

This is how Paul could quote Hosea when he said, “Death is swallowed up in victory. O Death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:54-55). Then a few verses later he concluded, “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Even if we ultimately die for preaching the Gospel, we still win!

A World Ripe for the Gospel

Since Charlie’s assassination, countless people have testified that something has shifted inside them. Many describe a stirring they cannot explain—a deep pull toward the Lord. Some have bought a Bible for the first time. Others have walked back into church after years away. Still others have set foot in a service for the very first time. Hearts across this nation and the world are being awakened!

This atmosphere proves that the time is now. The soil is fertile for the message of Jesus. People are hungry for truth, thirsty for hope, and open to conversations they once avoided. Believers cannot remain silent in such a moment. Boldness to share the Gospel is not just a call; it is an urgent necessity. Every day is a new opportunity to point someone to Christ.

Conquering Fear Through Faith

Fear whispers that danger is too great, rejection too painful, or loss too severe. But fear is a liar. Faith anchors us in God’s promises, reminding us that His presence never leaves. Isaiah 41:10 declares, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you.” This assurance enables us to stand tall when fear tries to pull us down.

Courage doesn’t mean you never feel afraid. It means choosing faith because you know God is with you. When His Spirit empowers you, fear fades and confidence rises! You can speak boldly, knowing the One who sends you is the same One who strengthens you.

Eternal Hope Beyond This Life

Every believer who boldly proclaims Christ carries the hope of eternity. Revelation 12:11 says that God’s people overcome the enemy “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Eternal life changes everything. We are not clinging to temporary existence; we are advancing toward everlasting joy.

When we grasp this truth, even death cannot intimidate us. Stephen saw heaven open. Paul longed for Christ’s presence. Countless martyrs through history endured suffering with songs of worship on their lips. Their courage was not human strength; it was eternal hope.

Living Boldly Today

The call of Jesus has not changed. He sends us to proclaim the Gospel to every creature. The Spirit within us equips us with courage beyond our natural capacity. Whether in a conversation with a neighbor, a testimony at work, or a public platform, boldness to share the Gospel is our mandate.

Like Charlie Kirk, may we live fearlessly, speak truth graciously, and love relentlessly. If persecution comes, may we face it with eyes on eternity. God protects us, sustains us, and, in the end, welcomes us into everlasting life. Right now, the world is listening like never before. The time is ripe. Let us not shrink back but rise up as witnesses for Christ—bold, fearless, and full of faith.
