Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
Did you know that you have dead raising power on the inside of you? That’s right. You have dead raising power, and that means sickness and disease are no match for the Jesus that lives in you.
Narrator: Healed and Whole Part 4
Why live a normal life when you could be living the abundant life? Welcome to the Abundant Life Program with Ashley and Carlie Terradez.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
Hello, and welcome to Abundant Life. We’re so glad you’ve joined us today. My name is Ashley Terradez, and this is my wife, Carlie. We’re in the middle of a series. We’re talking about healing and about what we have in Christ, and about how it’s God’s will for you to be healed, praise God. And today, we’re going to be looking at what you already have on the inside of you as a believer. So, Carlie what’ve we got?
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
Amen. Yeah, we have dead raising power on the inside of us. That should be more than enough power to see our sickness and disease flee. Amen?
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
Amen.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
When we start to focus on every good thing that’s in us in Christ Jesus, something amazing happens. Our faith starts to become alive. Faith is important, because faith is how we access the promises of God that grace has provided. You know, healing is a free gift. We received healing when we received the healer.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
Amen.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
The healer is Jesus. So if you are a born again believer today and you’ve received Jesus into your heart, that means you have the healing power of God living on the inside of you in your very spirit man.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
So, really we’re just releasing what we already have, rather than trying to go and get something that we haven’t got yet.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
Right.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
And it might sound subtle. You say, “Ashley, what’s the difference?” It’s a big difference. You’re trying to go and get healing. You’ve got to go and try and get something that you haven’t got yet, there’s a chance you might not get it.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
You might miss it.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
You might miss it. You might not get it. You might not obtain it. But no, we’re talking about releasing something you’ve already got on the inside of you. When you got saved, when you got born again, you got everything. Jesus paid the price for everything. You know, Jesus was grace personified. I’m telling you, when Jesus died on that cross and rose again, he paid for your sickness, he paid for your healing, he paid for everything. He paid for your salvation, and now we have it on the inside of us. Now, Colossians 2:9 talks about how we’re complete in him. We’re complete in him.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
Right.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
So now, we’re talking about releasing what we already have, rather than trying to get something we haven’t got yet. I remember it’s a silly example, but I like it. We had a bird once. Remember this bird? We had this bird once.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
Right. We called it, Bird. It was very original. Bird.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
It was a bird. We found this bird on our path and our kids were little. They said, “Dad, look after this bird.” So, we bought the bird in the house, and we waited and the mother never came and looked after it.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
It was tiny. Just out the shell.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
It was a tiny little bird. So, we brought it into the house to look after it, and we hand raised this bird. Literally, we fed it and Googled how to look after it. We looked after this bird. It was amazing. We had to get up every couple of hours and feed it.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
We took it on vacation with us.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
We had to take it on vacation because we couldn’t leave it.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
We had this little box with Bird in the car.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
It was just… Anyway, this little bird, it was amazing. It grew feathers and it grew up. One day, it started to fly. Now when it was in our hands, it was flying. It was hard not to release it. I mean, to release a bird is easy, but when that bird was flying around the house trying to catch it was a nightmare. Sometimes, so many of us Christians are going out trying to get something. It’s like we’re trying to catch a bird, if you like, in a building. Very difficult. We might not be able to get it. It takes a lot of effort and a lot of anxiety, and like I said, we might not be able to catch it.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
Now, you’ve got to see it like you’ve already got the bird in your hand. I think there’s a proverb, an old ancient proverb about a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush or something like that. But anyway, a bird in your hand, you’re just releasing the power of God, and that’s how you need to see it. You’ve got the power of God inside of you.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
You’ve got health, you’ve got prosperity, you’ve got peace of mind, you’ve got salvation on the inside of you, and you’re just release what you’ve already got. You’re not trying to get something you haven’t got yet. You’ve already got it.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
Amen.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
Now, we’re talking about, in particular, releasing that from your spirit into your soul and into your flesh, because we established on a previous program, you are three parts. You are spirit, you are a spirit, you possess a soul, and you live in in a body. You are spirit, soul, and body. In your spirit, you have everything. You are…. 1 John 4:17 says, “As he is, so are we in this world,” in your spirit.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
That means as Jesus is.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
Amen.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
We’re like Jesus in this world, on the inside in the spirit.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
In the spirit realm. In the spirit, we are one. We are one spirit of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 6, “We are one spirit of the Lord.” So, you are one spirit of him, but then, we have a soul, and our soul is our mind and our will and our emotions. How have you know, our minds, our thoughts, and our emotions-
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
And our opinions.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
-and our opinions, they can get us in trouble pretty quick. We can start thinking contrary to the word of God. You know, we looked at Isaiah 53. It says, “Who will believe our report?” Who will believe this report? Who’s going to believe the word of God? We get to choose whether to believe the word of God or we can believe the circumstances, we can believe our feelings, we can believe our body, that pain in our body.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
We have to choose to believe the word of God. And your flesh, if you get your soul lined up with your spirit, your flesh will have to follow along eventually. It’s two against one, and that’s the good news. Praise God. But in your spirit, I want you to know today, you have everything you need to live the Christian life. You have everything you need. God’s already deposited inside of you. That’s why we bow our heads when we pray. We’re looking at God. He’s right here. He lives on the inside of you. Amen. God’s good.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
Yeah. That’s good news.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 4
That’s very good news.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
Let’s just jump in into the scriptures here in Romans 8. I love this chapter of Romans it’s so powerful. Actually, we’re going to back up a little bit, but in Romans 8:6, it says, “To be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” In other words, when we agree with the word of God, with what he’s already done in our spirit, it brings life and peace to our body, to our soul, to our mind, to every part of our life.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
But when we walk in the flesh, in just our carnal emotions, and just go with the flow, and just only walked by what we see in the natural world and don’t consider that we are a spiritual person, it brings death. It goes on to say in verse eight, “and those who are in the flesh cannot please God,” but hold on. It says in verse nine, “You, however, you’re not in the flesh.” You’re not only flesh, right? Because you are a spirit being.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 4
It says, “but in the Spirit, if indeed if the Spirit of God lives in you,” that means if you’ve received Jesus, if you’ve received Jesus, your Lord and Savior, and He lives on the inside of you, “now, if any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he’s not born again, and he doesn’t belong to him. And if Christ is in you,” which many of you watching this program today are, “then the body is dead because of sin”. That we might have sin, we might have the effects of sickness and disease, and the result of sin in our flesh, look what happens, “the Spirit is alive because of righteousness.” In our spirit, we have health and peace and joy because of what Jesus has done.
Carlie:
In verse 11, it says, “But if the spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, and he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through the Spirit that lives in you.” In other words, the very same power that raised Jesus from the grave lives in us, in our born again selves today.
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
That’s enough power to overcome any sickness or any disease. You know, it says in the second chapter of acts that the grave was not able to hold Jesus because it did not have the power to do so. You know, if the enemy, who is the author of sickness and disease, did not have enough power to hold Jesus in the grave by death, man, there is no sickness that’s worse than death, right? That’s pretty terminal, right?
Ashley:
Right. It’s terminal.
Carlie:
I mean, you could be diagnosed with the worst kind of condition known to man, but if you’ve got a pulse, you’re not dead yet.
Ashley:
Right.
Carlie:
Right, but death is the end result of any sickness. Man, if death it’s very self has been defeated because it didn’t have enough power to keep Jesus in the grave, that same power that raised Jesus from the grave lives in you today. That’s good news. That means that no sickness, no disease, no demonic influence, nothing in this world or out of it can separate us from the love of God or from the power of God working in our body. No sickness and disease can stay in our body and live as powerful.
Ashley:
Amen. That’s awesome. That’s awesome. Christ in us, the hope of glory.
Carlie:
Amen.
Ashley:
Praise God. We have… You have Christ indwelling you. He lives in you. Praise God. So, that’s a position of strength. That’s a position of power. Praise God. If you haven’t got Christ living in you, if you’re not born again, it is very simple. You can ask Jesus to be your Savior right now. All you’ve got to do is believe God’s already paid the price for you. All you got to do is believe that Jesus is your Lord and Savior, believe that God raised Him from the dead, and you can be born again right now.
Ashley:
You know, we’d love you to contact us. If that’s you, contact us. We’d love to give you some resources and to help you with that. You can call our number or contact our website. We’ll even have someone pray for you. But you can believe right now, and you can receive your salvation. You can receive Jesus right now. If you’ve never done that, I’d encourage you to do that. It’d be the best decision you’ve ever made.
Carlie:
Amen. Amen. That’s powerful. You know, so you may be thinking, “Well, I’ve got all this power on the inside of me and my spirit person. I understand that, though. I’ve received Jesus. He’s the healer. I’ve got the healing power, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead living on the inside of me. Why am I still sick?” Right? “How do I get that healing power from my spirit into my flesh when my flesh is the part that gets sick,” right? That’s where sickness and disease live.
Ashley:
Good question.
Carlie:
Well, it’s by this thing called faith. Can you read for me Ephesians 2:8. Do you have that there?
Ashley:
Ephesians 2:8. In the new King James version-
Carlie:
Okay. He’s got all the translations on his digital thing for.
Ashley:
It says for… On my digital thing.
Carlie:
Your digital thing.
Ashley:
She’s still got the paper Bible.
Carlie:
You know what? My Bible never crashes.
Ashley:
That’s true. It never runs out of battery.
Carlie:
Never, never. It’s always on.
Ashley:
It’s very heavy. You got biceps.
Carlie:
It’s six pounds worth of word. It’s great for Bible bashing.
Ashley:
It’s a six pound. It’s a big Bible for a little woman. But anyway, I’ve got an iPad here. So, this is Ephesians 2:8. puts it this way, it says, “For by grace, you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God.” And then it goes on verse nine says, “Not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
Ashley:
So basically, we are saved by grace, but it’s through faith. So, grace is provided everything. Jesus was grace personified, and grace is provided everything we need. But our part by faith is our receiving of it. So, imagine this-
Carlie:
That’s when you say “Yes” to Jesus.
Ashley:
It’s where we say, “Yes.” So all the problems we’ve got is “Yes” and “Amen.” You know, God’s provide it all, but we have to still receive it. It’s like a gift. If you’ve given a gift, you still have to choose to take the gift and you have to choose to unwrap the gift. Unfortunately, many Christians, I did this for many years of my life, we have all these gifts that God’s given us and we don’t choose to unwrap them. All we have to do is unwrap them and say, “Yes, Lord,” and that’s how faith response to God’s grace.
Ashley:
So by faith, we’re not taking any credit. It’s not like we’re making it happen. It’s already happened. But by faith is after receiving what God’s already done for us. Praise God. God’s already made us victorious. Now by faith, are we going to believe it or not? When we really believe something, it’s going to cause us to act, and it’s going to create actions.
Carlie:
Right. It does. You know, faith is our positive response to what Jesus has already done. It’s simply saying, “Yes.” Simply saying, “Yes, I believe it, and I receive it.” We receive healing in our flesh the same way that we received salvation. We just say, “Yes. Yes, I believe it. I receive it.” That’s it. It’s about being… At the very word, faith comes from the root word pístis, and it means to be fully convinced, to be persuaded, to commit unto.
Carlie:
It’s talking about having our persuasion more so in the word of God and what he says than what we thinking of in our feelings. Right?
Ashley:
Yeah.
Carlie:
To be spiritually minded is life and peace. But to be carnally minded is death, right? You know Philemon verse six says that our faith becomes effective, right? Everyone has faith. We have the faith of Jesus. Romans 12:3 says we have the measure of faith. We have the Jesus measure of faith. Amen. We don’t lack faith. We have the Jesus measure. If we’ve received Jesus, Jesus is never lacking faith. Jesus, the hope of glory, the King of glory, lives on the inside of every born again believer.
Carlie:
You have more than enough faith to raise the dead, or heal the sick, or cast out devils. But what we do sometimes is we don’t value what we have. So, Philemon verse six says, “Your faith,” the faith that you have in Jesus, “becomes effective by the acknowledgement of every good thing that is in us in Christ Jesus.”
Carlie:
When we start to think on every good thing, and that’s why we’re spending time today talking about the power that lives in us in the person of Jesus. You might think, “Well, what’s that got to do with healing?” That’s got everything to do with healing. Because as we start to focus on what God has done on us… So the moment we got born again, we received in the same package of salvation, we received the power of healing. Right there.
Carlie:
We haven’t got to go around and try and get healing in some place or by some person even. Although, God has many different ways to get healing to us. You know, we can receive the healing power of God right now through this television program, right where you are. You don’t have to go anywhere. You don’t have to do anything. You can respond to the healing power of God right here from your couch, from your office building, wherever it is that you are watching this message from.
Ashley:
Right.
Carlie:
That’s good news. As we start to focus on everything that’s going right, on every good thing that Jesus has deposited on the inside of us, the faith that we need to access the very promises of God starts to become effective.
Ashley:
Yep.
Carlie:
That’s how faith works.
Ashley:
You know, whatever you focus on is going to get magnified in your life. And that’s why David said, “Come magnify the Lord with me.” We can’t make God bigger. God doesn’t get any bigger, but what we do is we magnify God in our life by focusing on Him. What Carlie is saying is when we focus on every good thing that God’s already given us, that becomes bigger in our life.
Ashley:
Whatever you focus on becomes bigger. And if you focus on your sickness, if you focus on the issue, it’s going to get bigger, and you’re going to empower it. That’s why the grace message is so important. Being righteous by faith, accepting God’s righteousness for you, stops us focusing on sin. Before I understood grace righteousness, faith righteousness, before I understood grace, I’d be focusing on my sin all the time. “Don’t sin, don’t sin, don’t sin, don’t sin.”
Carlie:
And then you end up sinning all.
Ashley:
And you end up sinning because you’re focused on it.
Carlie:
Right.
Ashley:
Now, I’m focused on Jesus’ righteousness. I’m focused on the righteousness of Christ, I’ll proclaim. 2 Corinthians 5:21, “You are the righteousness of God.” When we’ve proclaimed that and we and we focus on his righteousness in us, it makes sin just diminish. It fades sin away. It’s the same with sickness and disease. When we focus on God’s healing, when we focus on God’s power that he’s already healed us, when we focus on the promises of God, when we focus on the word of God, it makes the word of God and the promises of God bigger in our life.
Ashley:
It makes the sickness and the issues we’re dealing with fade into insignificance. We esteem the word of God. We esteem the promises of God and we disesteem the issues, we disesteem the disease, and it’s powerful.
Ashley:
So, make sure you’re focused on the right thing today. Make sure you put your focus on the promises of God, on the truth, on the report. You know, Isaiah 53, we talked about who’s going to believe our report? Who’s going to take the time to believe our report? And that’s what we want to do on these TV programs is help you magnify the good report, help you magnify the good news.
Ashley:
You know, my friend puts it this way, “The good news is so good, the bad news is insignificant.”
Carlie:
Right. Amen.
Ashley:
We’re not saying that if you’ve got pain in your body, if you’re struggling, we’re not belittling that. We understand it’s real. We understand it’s heartbreaking. We understand it can cause a lot of issues and turmoil. What we’re saying is take your focus off of that and put your focus on the goodness of God, because God’s goodness will try out for over any sickness, any disease. Amen?
Carlie:
Amen. You know, in my testimony, I was healed from epilepsy many years ago. From going from having three, four seizures a day and taking multiple medications to being completely healed in an instant came through the word of God. It didn’t come through some amazing experience. It came through a revelation that God spoke the word of God to me. You know, Psalm 107:20, He sent his word and healed us and delivered us from all of our destruction.
Carlie:
During that period, people say to me, “Well, why did it take two weeks between when God spoke to you, when you saw the healing manifest in your body?” Well, that wasn’t up to God. God wasn’t sitting up in Heaven deciding, “Well Carlie just deserves another two weeks of being sick.” No, that happened. You know, He told me that because He knew that was going to be how long it would take my heart to wrap its own little mind around this to become renewed as Ashley mentioned.
Ashley:
Right.
Carlie:
So during that period of two weeks, the Lord just showed me in the word of God how healing was from him, how it was his will, how that he’d actually put, in me, power to overcome epilepsy. Coming from a place of not ever hearing any of these kinds of things before, it was revolutionary for me, really. But, it took two weeks, my heart to finally grasp the truth of God’s word. Once I started to understand the truth of God’s word regarding healing, then it is a truth that sets us free, right?
Carlie:
My face started to become effective. During that two weeks, my faith was becoming effective because I was in constant relationship with the Lord. I was focusing on every good thing that was in me, in Christ Jesus. I didn’t have perfect doctrine. I didn’t understand everything, but I understand it just enough. I want you just to look here in Psalm 103. It says, “Bless the Lord,” and this is David. You know, David’s the author of this Psalm, as he’s many of the Psalms. He was a man that knew what it was to go through a challenge, to have armies chasing after him, to be down in the pit, to be hiding in the field, to be attacked.
Ashley:
Right. Right.
Carlie:
I mean, it’s like his whole life was constant battles, right? He was always running from something or to something’s.
Ashley:
That’s true.
Carlie:
So, there were times where, I’m sure in his soul, in his mind, will, and emotions, he didn’t feel particularly happy. He felt like, I don’t want to say depressed, but he had the opportunity, for sure, to be discouraged. But look at this in verse one there, it says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.” I can almost picture David doing this through gritted teeth sometimes.
Ashley:
Yeah, telling himself.
Carlie:
“O, I will bless the Lord.”
Ashley:
He’s telling his soul to bless the Lord. That’s really important.
Carlie:
Yeah. Verse two says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul.” He repeats it again, “and forget not all of his benefits.” He’s giving himself his own little pep talk right here. He’s saying, “Hang on. Despite the situation, despite how I feel about it, soul, listen up. We are going to start rejoicing.” Look, forget not all of whose benefits? God’s benefits. “Who forgives all of your iniquities, who heals all of your diseases.” This is Old Testament, remember? This is a God that heals even in the Old Testament. His promises haven’t changed. Healing’s always been for us today.
Carlie:
He says, “Who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth of good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.”
Carlie:
Some of you are watching this program today and there are sicknesses that are raging in your body, and you’ve just accepted them as being part of old age. But yet, here it says that your youth can be renewed like the eagles. We do not have to grow old and die sick.
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
You know, with sickness and disease are not part of the normal Christian life. God does not design our bodies to live with sickness and disease. He designed our very bodies to heal itself.
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
So, healing’s always been God’s plan. It’s always been God’s best, but David here is saying in the Psalm, “Soul, mind, will, and emotions, you need to… In order to access these, you need to forget not all of God’s benefits.” Healing is just one of the very benefits that we have available to us through Jesus.
Ashley:
As you were saying, “Soul, blessed the Lord. Be thankful to God. Focus on His promises, focus on the good things He’s done for you, focus on on the word of God.” You can read that out and that’s powerful. As Carlie said, David went through lots of trials. I’m thinking about one trial in 2 Samuel, it talks about how the Ziklag, the village was taken over Chapter 30 of second…
Carlie:
Chapter 30, I think. I think it’s 1 Samuel Chapter 30, but I could be… They’ll fix it on the screen later.
Ashley:
Don’t quote us. But anyway, he came back to that village and they took the men’s wives away, they took their children away, they burnt the village. Not only that, David turned to his men ,and his own men tried to kill him. They were so distraught. They were so upset that this had happened. He was their leader and they felt like, “Well, David allowed this to happen. He took us off to battle, and didn’t protect our own village,” and because they lost their children, they lost their wives.
Carlie:
I cut it right here.
Ashley:
They would distraught, and guess what David did? David didn’t even have his friends to turn to. It says, it was 2, 1 Samuel…
Carlie:
This is 1 Samuel 30. So, it says, “Now, David’s two wives were taken captive,” and it says in verse six, “David was greatly distressed.” So, we don’t know. He might have written that Psalm in the middle of this. We don’t know.
Ashley:
Yep.
Carlie:
“For the people talked of stoning him, because the people were bitter in their spirit, and each of his sons and daughters that had been taken,” but David encouraged himself in the Lord our God. He inquired of the Lord, and the Lord answered him and he says, ‘Pursue them: for you shall surely overtake them, and surely, you will recover all.'”
Ashley:
So David went out, he’d got the men together, they went out, and they recovered all, and not one of their wives were killed, not one of their children were killed. They recovered everything. But the point is this: when David was down, when David had trial, when things were against him, he encouraged himself in the Lord. He turns to him, “Blessed the Lord, O, my soul.” Like Carlie said, maybe through gritty teeth.
Ashley:
I tell people the most important time you can worship God, the most important time you can give thanks to God and start blessing God is when you least feel like it.
Carlie:
Right.
Ashley:
When your soul least feels like blessing God. Maybe you’re at home right now and you’ve got issues going on.
Carlie:
Pain in your body.
Ashley:
Maybe you have pain in your body, maybe you have trials. Whatever it is, when you least feel like blessing God, it’s the most important, most powerful time you can bless God and start thanking God for what you have. So, David started encouraging himself in the Lord. We can encourage ourselves in the Lord. We can start thanking God. When we start thanking God… That’s why Paul talks about it so much. You know, Philippians 4:4. So many times, Paul talks about rejoice always, “And again, I say rejoice.”
Ashley:
Rejoicing means rehearsing the joy. When you start rehearsing the joy, when you start realizing all the good things God’s done for you, I’m telling you, He’ll start giving you strength. Nehemiah 8:10 says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Like we said, when you’ve got pain in your body, when you’re fighting disease, the last thing you want to do is be joyful. But we’re telling you, you start being joyful, you start thanking God for what He’s done for you, you start encouraging yourself in the Lord like David did.
Ashley:
Then the Lord spoke to David. After he did that, the Lord spoke to David, and David went and recovered all. I just wonder if David hadn’t have encouraged himself in the Lord, if he just stayed down in the dumps, if he’d stayed like, “Woe is me,” whether he would’ve gone and recovered all, I don’t think it would have done.
Carlie:
Right.
Ashley:
So, God provided for him a way to recover all, to receive everything back, if you like. But because he chose not to go that route, he wouldn’t have received it.
Carlie:
Right.
Ashley:
He’s like us. God’s provided healing for you. God’s provided an answer for every one of your problems. God’s provided perfect healing, perfect health, but it’s up to us whether we receive it or not. That’s what faith is. Faith is receiving what God’s already provided for you.
Carlie:
Right. You know, our testimony is that our daughter was sent home from the hospital with just a week to live when she was three years old. It’s a powerful testimony. It’s on our website. But before she was healed, in the couple of weeks before Hannah was healed, we started really getting into the word of God. It’s amazing how crisis will drive you towards God, right? When you need him.
Carlie:
And so, we started again into the word of God and we found out, “Hang on a second. God is a good God.” We started to fall in love with Jesus all over again. Because up until that point, even though we’d been in the word of God, we were ministers of the gospel, sickness and disease and pain being around you and just being in the middle of that crisis can actually be such a distraction. It can drive away your attention from the very thing that is your answer, which is Jesus.
Carlie:
All of these things in our life are competing for our attention. When you’ve got symptoms raging in your body or around you in people that you love those things will do… It’s like an angry toddler waiting for attention. Those things will do anything they can to distract you. The enemy wants to get you distracted away from the word of God because he knows… You know, he’s the enemy, Satan. He’s the author of sickness and disease, but he knows that the Lord sent His word and healed you.
Carlie:
So if he can get you distracted, if you can get your moving away from the word of God, if he can get in between you and the time that you would normally spend with God, he can get you weak and defeated. But you know, even that two weeks before Hannah was healed… So, she’s still dying at this point. We started to fall in love with Jesus all over again. We found that even though we weren’t actively searching for healing, we found the healer.
Ashley:
Right.
Carlie:
We started to find that healing’s a byproduct of our relationship with the healer. We fell in love with the healer all over again. The joy of the Lord became our strength, and our faith started to work. Because you know, Galatians 5:6 says that faith works by love. It’s a relationship with God and focusing on everything that was right that released her. That was before she was healed.
Ashley:
That’s right, and that was before she was healed. We started giving thanks to God and being joyful before she was healed, not knowing whether she would be healed or not. The reason is, is because we heard the truth. We heard the truth that it is God’s will for her to be healed. We heard the truth.
Carlie:
That’ empowered the healing to happen.
Ashley:
Yeah, that empowered us. So, we heard the truth. We heard that God was a good God for the first time, and that’s why we’ve started to have joy and we had started to be able to rejoice even in times that seemed desperate.
Carlie:
Yeah. In fact, people thought we were a little bit crazy, didn’t they? They thought the pressure had gotten to us. They started sending health workers around our house late at night saying, “Uh,” you know. They were worried about our mental health. We were so in love with the Lord, it’s like people, unbelievers, were starting to notice. It didn’t seem natural, given the circumstances.
Ashley:
Right. Then once she was healed, people said, “Well, you’re only happy because she’s healed,” and we said, “No.” It was lots of people there at different Bible studies and things that they had seen as joyful before she was healed. So, I want to tell you, God’s given you the tools to rejoice. God’s given you the tools to bless Him. Just as David said, we have to do it through gritted teeth sometimes.
Ashley:
Sometimes we don’t feel like it, but I’m telling you, go above your feelings. Go beyond your feelings. Believe God’s report for you. God’s report for you is he wants you well. He’s provided your healing, and you can receive it by faith today. Grace is provided it, and you can receive it by faith today. You can go out and believe God, and you can release what’s already in you, and you can receive your healing today. Amen.
Carlie:
Amen. Amen. Thanksgiving, and praise is a gateway to entering the power of God manifesting in life. We enter His gates with thanksgiving. Amen?
Ashley:
Amen. That’s good. Amen, and we want to pray for you before we go.
Carlie:
Yes.
Ashley:
We ran out of time this time. We’re going to pray for you. Father God, I thank You for everyone watching. I thank You of everyone listening today. I thank You. They have the healing power of God on the inside of them, and I thank You. They are receiving their healing in Jesus’ name. We speak to any disease, any issue in their body, and we curse it in Jesus’ name. We speak life to their body, and we say any disease or sickness to be gone in Jesus’ name.
Carlie:
Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. I just feel that there are people watching that have been dealing chronic pain in their bodies. Right now, we take authority over chronic pain. We can [inaudible 00:26:28] chronic pain to leave now. In Jesus’ name.
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
Be set free.
Ashley:
All pain be gone right now in Jesus’ name. Amen. Praise God.
Carlie:
