Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Hello, and welcome to Abundant Life. We’re so glad you’ve joined us today. My name is Ashley Terradez, and this is my wife Carlie, and we’re talking today about the faith of Christ. You already have the faith of Christ on the inside of you. We’re talking about healing. We’re talking about how you can receive the promises of God, and praise God. This is going to really help you receive what God has already paid for you to have. Amen.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Amen.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
So, what’ve we got, Carlie?
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Amen. So, we’re right in the middle here of a series talking about healing and how we receive it. Now, healing, as we’ve already mentioned in our previous teachings, if you haven’t had a chance to get those, go back and watch those because they’re powerful. But healing is for us. It’s always been for us. God’s promises are “Yes and Amen”, but how we access those promises that grace has already provided is through faith in the word of God. Faith in Jesus. Amen. I want to jump in here to, this is Psalm 27: 13-14 verse. It says, “I believe. I believe, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord, be strong and may your heart be stout. Wait on the Lord.”
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Now we’ve been talking about faith and believing. About putting more faith, more trusting confidence in what the word of God says than we do in our circumstances. And I like what it says here. It’s a positive statement. Obviously this person, David, he’s going through some challenges. But he says, “I believe I will see the goodness of God in the land of the living.” And it’s that. It’s that hope. It’s that expectation of something good which strengthens our heart. If we’ve been sick for a long time, I mean a lot of people that are dealing with chronic sicknesses or even terminal conditions, and our heart becomes sick. In Psalms it says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” When we’ve been dealing with maybe, pain in our body or whatever it is, physical symptoms in our body for a long time. They can start to wear on us.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
But it is when we are really, what it means, waiting on the Lord. This isn’t like… No, I used to think maybe, what if I’m waiting for a bus. It may or it may not show up.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Just waiting there.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
It’s going to be a long time.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Just waiting there doing nothing.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Just doing nothing.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Just waiting.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
It’s kind of depressing.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Boring.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Who wants to wait on the little… That’s kind of-
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
I used to hate waiting.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
That’s miserable.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Especially if there’s kids waiting. “Are we there yet?” Waiting is boring.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
It’s like kids, “Are we nearly there yet?”
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
But really Jesus stood back watching and waiting. And really I believe waiting is, it’s much more to do with more a server at a restaurant. They’re waiting on you and they’re looking, “Do you need some water? Do you need anything else?” You waiting with expectation.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
And that’s exactly what the word wait means. It doesn’t mean it’s got to be an arduous process that you’ve been sick for 38 years like the man by the pool of Bethesda. It’s going to be a really long time before you can get healing. No, it doesn’t mean that at all. The word wait isn’t talking about time. It’s talking about expectation. Okay. It actually means to have a hopeful expectation, a hopeful endurance. I like to think of it like Christmas day. Remember when you’re a kid, and especially young children. I love having young children in the house around Christmas time, but, they see the tree and the presents or the gifts. They’re all wrapped and they’re under the tree and [crosstalk 00:03:31]
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
-because we live in America now.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
And they all come in brown boxes by Amazon.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
And our families live in the UK. We just get brown boxes. And the fun thing is-
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
We don’t know who they’re from.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
We get these brown boxes from Amazon and then we literally don’t know, half the time, who they’re from or who they’re too. So, we just have these brown Amazon boxes. This isn’t an Amazon commercial but brown Amazon boxes all under the tree, tons of them. And then we just have to open the boxes up and just guess who it’s for and who’s it from.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Who do we think this is for and who’s it from?
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Who’s it from? Let’s play the guessing game. So, that’s Christmas at our house now, but we used to have more wrapped up presents.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Right. And so, every day as the time ticks down towards Christmas day there is an anticipation of something good is going to happen. There is an excitement. There is a waiting that’s like-
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
We’d even have-
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Even in the waiting.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
-Advent calendars. Do you remember the Advent calendars? The countdown to Christmas day. And you’d open number one and then number two. Do you remember that?
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Ashley’s all about the chocolate.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Advent calendars with the chocolate in them. And as a kid though-
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Ashley’s pretty excited, as you could see. He’s ready for Christmas.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
I found out though, when I was a kid, there’s advent calendars with the chocolate… Maybe they don’t have advent calendars in America.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
They have them.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
In England, they have advent calendars and you open the doors up each day and then you get chocolates inside them. But I found that if you open the box, you can slide the tray out, eat all the chocolates, and slide the tray back in and all the doors are still sealed. Genius.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
You have self control spirit.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
I do. I need to exercise it more.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
We need to exercise it. Okay, so, anyway. As I was saying, waiting on the Lord is talking about a hopeful expectation. That means as Christmas is coming every day, we’re not thinking, “Oh my goodness, Christmas day is still three weeks away. How depressing you mean I’ve got wait three weeks for Christmas day?” No. Every day is like, “Yes, we’re a day closer to Christmas.” It’s an expectation of good. You see, if we really believe that we will see the goodness of God in the land of the living, that healing is ours, and healing is now, and healing was paid for by Jesus in his atonement at the cross. That the healer lives on the inside of us. Man. As we start to wrap our mind around that and we start to give thanks for every good thing that God has put on the inside of us.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Rather than looking on everything that’s going wrong with our life, our faith becomes effective and that actually causes the healing to manifest in our bodies. But what many people do is they get tired and they get weary. And I’m preaching to the choir here because I’ve dealt with chronic sickness. I dealt with chronic sickness for many years. So, I know what that feels like. But that longterm sickness starts to make your your mind sick. You start to get your sicknesses just in the body. You start to think sick, to dream sick. It starts to… Hope deferred makes the heart sick.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
You start to identify with it. It becomes a part of who you are, it becomes your nature.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Exactly. And before you know it, there is no expectation. We may be saying, “Oh, I believe in healing. I believe Jesus paid for my healing.” But really deep down there is no expectation because our heart has just become weary. It’s just consequences of of living in a natural world. Romans 8:6, we mentioned this last time, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. To be carnally minded is death. In other words, as we focus on things that are wrong, it produces the symptoms of death in our body. As we start to focus on everything the , it starts to produce life and peace in our body.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Whatever we focus on gets magnified.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Exactly.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
So, if you focus on the sickness, you focus on the problem, it’s just going to get magnified in life. If you focus on the solution, you focus on the word, that will get magnified in your life and the sickness and the problems will start to fade in comparison.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Right. And the reason this is important is because what we put our belief in, what we consider, and what we meditate on is the basis for hope. And hope is the basis for faith. And faith is how we access the promises of God the grace has provided. You see, hope is an expectation of something good. Right. And so, I’ll give you an example, right? And maybe, we’re having a healing conference. We held many healing conferences around the country. People come to those healing conferences because they have an expectation of something good.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Right. If they didn’t believe the power of God was going to be there, they wouldn’t make a journey. In our conferences, we have people fly in. And I remember the first time we held a conference, the first time we had someone, a family flying. Especially, it was quite bizarre, it was a few years ago now. I said to him, “So, why are you here?” And they said, “Well, we’re here. We flew in here.”
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
You asked them if they had family in town.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
I said, “Oh you got family in town.” They said, “No.” I said, “You’re sightseeing. You’re on vacation. Why are you here?” They said, “We’re here for your conference.” I said, “You flew across the country, your whole family, just for this conference.” They were like, “Yeah”. And I was like-
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
We were blown away.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
I was like, “The pressure. I better preach good.” But now we see that regularly. We have conferences all over the country, wherever in the world, in fact. You can go to our website and see where we’re going to be. But the point is people travel and we’ve done the same thing. We’ve traveled to other people’s conferences. We’ve got on airplanes and traveled up because we were expecting to receive from God. There’s an expectation there.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Our testimony of our daughter’s sickness. We took her to a conference. She was healed at three years old from a terminal disease, and we traveled with her to a conference to receive prayer because we had an expectation. Now we were in a place that we’d probably say is hope, right? There wasn’t a guarantee of healing to manifest, but we went there because we’d heard that healing was available and we figured if healing was available, then it’s going to surely be available for us. So, we went with a hopeful expectation of something good happening. Now, we’ve already mentioned this, but faith is a point in which we receive healing. Not just hope, where we hope for something good but there’s no guarantee. Faith is different and at some point we want to transition from a place of we’re like, “I hope it’s going to be good. I hope it’s true. I hope it’s for me. I hope somebody prays for me. That my pain’s going to leave. That something’s going to change.”
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
But faith, faith has completely different characteristics. Faith is a guarantee. It’s assurity and faith is important. It’s important to know the difference between faith and hope because faith is the point in which we’re going to receive, right? So, let’s… Have you got Hebrews 11:1? What scripture you’ve-
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
I can have it up here if you want me to.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Could you read that for me?
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Hebrews 11, verse 1.
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
Hebrews 11 verse 1.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
It’s a great verse. Now, faith is the substance. In fact, you’ve taught a whole message on just the now. Now-
Carlie: Healed and Whole Part 5
We have a whole series on faith.
Ashley: Healed and Whole Part 5
Now faith is a substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Carlie:
Amen. This is important because you see, faith operates in a round that is not linked to our emotions. It is linked to what we know in the spiritual realm. In, I think it’s second Corinthians 4:13 it says, “We walk by faith and not by sight.” Faith has completely different characteristics to hope. Hope, “I hope it’s going to be sunny tomorrow. I hope something good is going to happen.” It’s much more emotional and uncertain, but it is the basis for faith. It is what paints a picture in our imagination that starts the spark of faith. Hope is important, but we need to move over into faith.
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
Hope says, “Now faith is.” I’m going to read you this in the… I have it here in my electronic device.
Ashley:
And that was second Corinthians 5:7 by the way. Second Corinthians 5:7, Paul says, “Now we walk by faith and not by sight.” So, we don’t just go by the things we see. We walk by faith and not by sight. Second Corinthians 5:7.
Carlie:
So, this one says, this is Hebrews 11:1, it says, “Now faith…” Now this is the same scripture that Ashley just read. Probably in the new King James. This is in the amplified version. Ashley likes the amplify version, don’t you?
Ashley:
Lots of words.
Carlie:
Lots of words. He’s a word man. But it says… Now it doesn’t matter what translation you read this scripture and this is like the Bible definition of the word faith, but in all translations, it starts with the same thing. It starts, “Now faith is.” Not next week faith is. Not coming soon. Not like a movie premiere, “Coming soon.” It means now, right now in this moment.
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
Now faith is the assurance, the confirmation, the title deed, of the things that we hoped for. Being the proof of things that we do not see in the conviction of their reality. Faith perceiving as real fact that is not revealed to the senses. You see, faith goes way beyond how we feel about it or what we can see in the natural world. Faith operates in the realm of the unseen, in the supernatural realm. It goes by what we know, and that’s super important. You know, with Hannah, she was prayed for at that conference. We went there in expectation. But at some point we transitioned over into now faith. We sat through the conference, we heard the word of God, we heard the gospel.
Ashley:
Faith comes by hearing, right? Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Carlie:
Absolutely.
Ashley:
So, we heard the good news. We’d spent two weeks actually before then, just downloading all the teachings we could about healing and about faith and about receiving from God. So, we heard the word of God, got to the conference, heard more of the word of God. And then, we finally spoke to the minister there. He said to us… Because we wasn’t sure about children. [inaudible 00:12:20] Hannah’s three years old. Is it our favor? Is it her favor? And he said, “She’s so small, she’s so little. It’s basically your belief. She’s too small. [crosstalk 00:12:29] She’s going to believe whatever you tell her.”
Ashley:
So, when we heard that, when we knew it was God’s will for our daughter to be healed, we knew that truth, that it was God’s will for our daughter to be healed. That’s when I believed we were in faith and we really believed it.
Carlie:
And we prayed. We prayed probably the first prayer of faith with a prayed. And that wasn’t asking Jesus to come on down and do something he hadn’t already done. We took authority over the sickness and disease and we’ll get into authority and how we release it in some later programs. So, stay with us. But we spoke to her body and commanded her body, commanded that sickness and disease to leave her body, and commanded her body to start processing and absorbing food. That was her problem. She was basically starving to death. And we told her body what to do.
Carlie:
We took authority over it in Jesus name and we didn’t go by what it looked like on the outside. In fact, on the outside, nothing changed.
Ashley:
Nothing changed on the outside. She looked exactly the same. And we took her to eat. She’d never eaten solid food in her life. She’s never been able to process food. Never been able to swallow solid food. We said, “What do you want to eat?” She said, “I want to eat McDonald’s.” Now that’s power of advertising right there that she wanted McDonald’s and I tell her, “McDonald’s well person.” But anyways.
Carlie:
Don’t say that.
Ashley:
I shouldn’t say this on TV I’ll get in trouble. I love you McDonald’s. Anyway, we couldn’t find McDonald’s. We went to KFC, we found a KFC and we said, [inaudible 00:13:42]. So, we fed her first meal of solid food she’d ever had and up into that point she’d been months on a machine, a feeding machine, a feeding tube directing to her stomach.
Ashley:
She started eating fried chicken, and fries, and chocolate brownies, and milkshakes-
Carlie:
Yogurt, ice cream.
Ashley:
And ice cream.
Carlie:
We tried every food group we could.
Ashley:
All these things we gave her and it’s funny. We sat around a round table. We’ve got two other children. So, there’s five of us sat around a round table. We all get our food but none of us ate. We all just stared at Hannah watching her eat and if anyone watched us thought, “This is a strange family. They just all watch one person eating.” We were watching her eat and she took that fried chicken. She took them fries and she started eating and swallowing for the first time in her life. And that was back when she was three years old. She’s now nearly 16 years old. 100% healed and healthy, have not had any issues. No more feeding tubes, no more medication. The doctor said she’s 100% perfect. But it shows you that we moved over into faith and one of the key points as well was with the minister that was with us there.
Ashley:
He said, when we told him all what was wrong with Hannah… Up until that point, other people we told, “Oh, this is terrible. She’s going to die basically.” Which is the truth. This is bad. He didn’t just go by the doctor’s report. He went by the report. He went by the word of God and the report, the word of God triumphs any other report. And when we told him what the doctor said and what condition Hannah was in, he said, “Well, this is a piece of cake for Jesus.” And that really built our faith because he believed it. Now we believed it because compared to, it doesn’t matter what’s going on in your body. It doesn’t matter what you’re dealing with compared to the power of God it’s a piece of cake for Jesus.
Carlie:
Amen.
Ashley:
I’m not belittling what’s going on with you. I’m sympathetic for pain you’re in or maybe a loved one that’s in pain. But I’m telling you compared to the power of God, whatever [inaudible 00:15:22] at the moment, whatever’s your issue at the moment is a piece of cake for Jesus.
Carlie:
Amen.
Ashley:
That’s how powerful the faith of God is inside of you. Amen.
Carlie:
Amen. And you know what happens. When we start to magnify the solution rather than magnifying the problem. Well, it’s like get a magnifying glass out. Whenever you put a magnifying glass up it gets bigger in your sight. And so, we started to magnify the word of God over Hannah’s physical condition. We stopped going by what we could only see and walking by what we knew to be true. And when you plant the word of God in your heart, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. And so, what happened was, because we were planting the word of God in our heart. We were speaking the word of God, even if it was unintentionally. We were speaking the word of God because that’s what we were saying in our heart. So, as we speak in the word of God, over Hannah, we were releasing life and power.
Carlie:
It says in Proverbs, “That life and death are in the power of our tongue.” And so, we were speaking life over her body and death to the disease.
Ashley:
Over the sickness. Amen.
Carlie:
And as a result of that, the sickness had no choice but to leave her body. But that came by walking in this place called faith. Faith is not a fragile thing, right? This is good news because sometimes people think, “Well, it’s okay for you. You’re just really people of faith and power, right? Your some super duper Christians.” Well, no, this is available for every believer. Every believer. Romans 12:3 says, “You’ve been given the measure of faith.” What kind of faith do you have? The Jesus kind of faith. You have the faith of Jesus on the inside of us.
Ashley:
Some translations have translated a measure of faith, but the King James version, which is regardless one of the most reliable versions and most of the other versions actually say the measure of faith. And that means basically if you… Imagine having a big bowl of soup and you had a ladle and [inaudible 00:17:10]. That same ladle, everyone gets the same measure.
Carlie:
Everyone gets the same amount.
Ashley:
You have the measure of faith. And it’s the faith of God on the inside of you. And that’s Romans 12:3 says that he’s given to everyone the measure of faith. I also want to share a quick example of the deal between hope and faith, if you’d like. This is the story when Jesus dealt with the epileptic boy. And he came to the father. This is in Mark 9:22 I’m just going to break right in here in the middle of the story.
Carlie:
This is a great example.
Ashley:
I just want to show the difference between hope and faith and about wishing, if you like, and actually being in faith. So, in a Mark 9:22 I’m breaking right into the middle of the story. The father basically says to Jesus, “Help me. My son’s epileptic.” And Jesus comes to him and Jesus asks him a question. So, as soon as Jesus gets there the boy starts having another fit, an epileptic fit, trying to distract people. But Jesus wasn’t distracted. He turned to the father. He knew that he had to minister to the father because this was a child. He had to minister to the parents. And Jesus said, to the father he said, “How often have you thrown him?” Sorry, this is the father talking to Jesus in verse 22. So, the father talking to Jesus, in verse 22, because when Jesus asked the father, “How long has he been like this?”
Ashley:
And the father responds and said, “Often. He’s thrown him into the fire and into the wall to destroy him.” And listen to this. This is hope. This is just wishful… This is hope. This is the man’s hope. He says, “But you, if you can do anything.”
Carlie:
If you can do anything.
Ashley:
So, the man saying to Jesus, “Jesus, if you can do anything, coming in as a beggar.”
Carlie:
I love Jesus’ response.
Ashley:
If you could do anything.
Carlie:
It’s classic.
Ashley:
I know. Have compassion on us and help us. So, some of us approach God like this, and we’re not condemning anyone. We’re here to help you. Our whole-
Carlie:
We’ve lived in this place ourselves.
Ashley:
We have lived in this place. Our whole motto here, if you like, or our tagline, Terradez Ministries, is empowering believers in the promises of God. So, we want to empower you to receive everything God has for you. But we’ve been there and we want to help you with this. Sometimes what you think is faith, what you think you’re in faith. It’s just hope. It’s just wishful-
Carlie:
There’s no guarantee.
Ashley:
It’s just wishful thinking. “I hope God can help me.” And sometimes we approach God saying, “God, if you can do anything, please help me.”
Carlie:
But like we just read, Hebrews 11:1 it says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not seen.” There’s a guarantee. It’s the guarantee, the title deed, the ownership payments, papers, right?
Ashley:
Papers of the real thing. Whereas this man was in hope here. He said, “Jesus if you can do anything, please help us. Please have compassion, if you can.” And Jesus turned it right around in verse 23 he said, “If you can.” So, Jesus turned around and said to the man, “If you can believe.” So, now it’s not about Jesus. Jesus’ mind is made up. We’ve already covered this in previous episodes. God’s will is to heal you every time. It’s God’s will to heal. Jesus healed everyone that came to him. Jesus said, “If you’ve seen me, Phillip, you’ve seen the father.” He said to Phillip, “You’ve ever seen me, you’ve seen the father.” Jesus was a perfect representation of God, the father. Jesus never put sickness on anyone. He never refused healing from anyone. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Ashley:
So, healing is still God’s will. God’s will. So, Jesus turns it around the father and said, “If you can believe, if you can believe all things are possible to him who believes.” And then the man, the father starts to get into faith because he says, he turns to the father and he turns to [inaudible 00:20:12], “I believe.” Now the father says, “I believe. Help my unbelief.” And that’s really our problem. Our problem isn’t a faith problem, our problem is a unbelief problem.
Carlie:
Right. And I mean you can look at it here as well and unbelief was a problem. It hindered Jesus in ministry. There’s an example in the gospels where [inaudible 00:20:30] had to take the man out of the town. He says, “He couldn’t do many mighty works because of their unbelief.” And a unbelief is just believing un-, right? It’s believing. It’s believing in something that’s the opposite of what God says about your situation. But in Matthew 8:13 it says, “Then Jesus says this in Centurion…” Which is another great faith example. “Go your way. And as you have believed, so, let it be done for you.” You see what we believe about the word of God or about God, where we’ve come from, our preconceived ideas of who God is and what God’s done for us or what God will do for us directly impacts what we can receive from him. God is not sitting up in heaven, deciding who gets healed and who stays sick. Or if they get healed, how they get healed.
Ashley:
Or how long it’ll take to get healed.
Carlie:
Or how long it [crosstalk 00:21:15]
Ashley:
So, the woman with the issue of blood, she heard that there’s various places in the gospels before she [inaudible 00:21:22] about the woman with the issue of blood. Before that happened, she heard that people touched Jesus and were healed. You can read about it. I think it’s Mark 3. People would touch Jesus. They were thronging against him. And as people touched Jesus, they were healed. So, she heard that. So, her faith, her expectation, if you like, was, “If I touched Jesus, I’ll be healed.”
Carlie:
Right. She actually said the way she spoke out, the way that she was going to receive.
Ashley:
So, she had faith on the inside. She heard faith comes by hearing. So, she heard this report that people were touching Jesus and being healed. She then got that on the inside of her and started to believe it. When you start to believe something enough, it will start to come out. You’ll start to speak about it. She said within herself, “When I touch his garment, I’m going to be healed.” She said that within herself over and over and over. That’s what she said within herself. And then when she an opportunity she touched his garment, and guess what? She was healed. It happened to her as she believed. There’s another story where [inaudible 00:22:11] just say the word right. She didn’t have to touch your garments.
Carlie:
There’s many different ways.
Ashley:
His garment.
Carlie:
Matthew 9:29 it says, “He touched their eyes.” This is the healing two blind men. He touched their eyes saying, “According to your faith, let it be done for you.” You see, what we believe about God and about his word is the determining factor. There’s many different ways for us to receive healing. There is the gift of healings and the working of miracles. I mean, God has hundreds of ways for us to receive, right? But we are the ones that determine how that happens and what that looks like, and when. It’s not up to God. He has already made provision for our healing in the person of Jesus. So, when we receive Jesus on the inside of us, we received the healer. At the same time we received the savior. You cannot separate the healer from the savior.
Ashley:
Same person.
Carlie:
Same person.
Ashley:
It’s Jesus. Same person.
Carlie:
Exactly the same person. So, all the time, as believers, that we are walking around, we are carrying the healing power of God in our various spirits, in the person of Jesus. But how we move that healing power from our spirit into our flesh. It comes by way of our soul. About what we think about it, by how we believe things are going to manifest. You see, if we’d believed that Hannah was just going to get a little bit better every day, that every day that she woke up, she was going to feel a little bit better and a little bit stronger. And her hair was going to start growing back and her skin was starting to return it. We just believed that we’d start to see the signs of sickness and disease slowly leaving her body.
Carlie:
If we’d had just believed that at some point in her life she was going to be able to eat. Maybe starting with a puree and then getting thicker and thicker foods. And maybe she could start with one food group and then work onto other food groups. She still would have been healed.
Ashley:
Right. That’s good.
Carlie:
That would have been good. Right? But we would have been the ones that would have made that determination in what healing looked like and how it was going to manifest. It wasn’t God’s best. I truly believe in all of the examples of Jesus when he ministers healing to people, he’s best is instantaneous manifestation of healing. He doesn’t want you to be sick a moment longer, not a second longer, right?
Ashley:
In fact, his best is divine healing.
Carlie:
Divine healing.
Ashley:
Divine health. So, you don’t even get sick.
Carlie:
You don’t get sick in the first place.
Ashley:
And you can walk in divine health. But then as Carlie was saying, “Every example of Jesus healing was instantaneous.”
Carlie:
And some people say, “Well, what about the lepers?” As they went, they were healed. There is precedent in the scriptures for a process of time, but when you study that out, I believe that was a short period of time, maybe 24 hours. It wasn’t weeks and months and years, which is sometimes we get when we say…
Carlie:
We started out this session in Psalm 27, waiting on the Lord. The waiting on the Lord that some of us have heard and are familiar with is not the waiting on the Lord that we see in the scriptures. This is a hope, that full expectation of something good happening. And now faith takes that provision and says, “You know what? Healing is available. It’s mine. I’m taking it today.”
Ashley:
I’m taking what’s mine.
Carlie:
I’m taking back what the devil stole. Amen.
Ashley:
Jesus paid for it, I’m taking it.
Carlie:
I’m not going to wait for a minute longer. In Matthew it says, “The violent take it by force.” There are so many example of healing in the scripture. But I believe right now, in this moment, now faith is.
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
You can receive your healing today. Amen. So, we don’t want to delay anymore.
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
We want to pray for people to receive their healing.
Ashley:
Right now.
Carlie:
Amen.
Ashley:
So, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been waiting for, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been dealing with this. Now faith is.
Carlie:
It doesn’t matter what the doctor says.
Ashley:
That’s right. And you have the faith of Christ on the inside of you. You have Jesus, the healer, living on the inside of you. So, let’s pray for you right now. Be ready. Be ready to receive prayers.
Carlie:
Just raise your hands like you’re about to receive something because you are. Amen.
Ashley:
[crosstalk 00:25:59] Be ready to receive right now in Jesus name. We speak healing over your body right now. We curse any sickness or disease in your body. To bones, to organs, to cells, to eyes. We speak healing to eyes and ears to open right now in Jesus name, spines to straighten, bones to become strong, limbs to lengthen. In Jesus name, we believe it and we receive it. Amen.
Ashley:
