$1000 Seed Turns into Harvest!

In November, I sowed a $1,000 seed into Terradez Ministries. I felt like, if I did, the Lord would bless my daughter and I with a home to live in.

2023 was a rough year financially and on top of that, my husband was in a coma and passed away in October suddenly. When he first went into a coma in February of 2023, my daughter and I had to move out of the home we lived in because I could no longer afford it. My options were limited. The next best thing was to share an Airbnb townhome with over 50 different rotating guests throughout the year along with the landlord who lived in the basement. I was paying $1200 a month just to rent a room. We had to share the bathroom and kitchen with the guests. 🙄 I’m a very private person and was becoming annoyed with this living arrangement. My daughter as well.

One day while playing outside, in the backyard with my daughter, she asked me if we could rent the entire house that we were living in because she liked it so much. I thought that was a wonderful idea. Especially since I loved the house and the neighborhood. But, I thought that would be impossible because the landlord lived in the basement and was making profit from the Airbnb guests. I told my daughter to pray and ask Jesus – whether it’s this house or another.

Suddenly one day, after the Christmas season, my landlord comes home and announces that she eloped and would be moving out to a new house! We would get the basement with the private bathroom or the upstairs section. I was excited at first because we would have a private bathroom. But, it would still be an Airbnb open to guests.
I asked the Lord for the entire house to rent, not just partial because there still would be limited privacy. I valued my privacy.
The Lord told me to just relax and let Him handle the rest. So, I did. I let go of the worrying and trusted Him to fix the situation.

Today, my daughter and I have access to the entire house! I’m in the process of signing a new lease! This gives me the time to pray, think, relax and take my time with buying a house whether it’s this one or another.

As far as finances, my income in my business has tripled. Last year, some of my family members and a couple of friends wanted me to give up my business and let the government support me “even if it meant living in a not so good area.” God is so good!
