Ashley: Did you know you can train your brain? That’s right, you can control your thought life. God has given you the ability to control your thoughts, praise God, and see great results. Find out how coming up.
Announcer: Why live a normal life when you could be living the abundant life. Welcome to the Abundant Life program with Ashley and Carlie Terradez.
Ashley: Hello and welcome to Abundant Life. We’re so glad you’ve joined us today in the lounge, praise God. We’ve got a great program for you. Amen. We’re going to be looking at brain training.
Carlie: Amen. Did you know that you could train your brain?
Ashley: First of all, you have to have a brain right?
Carlie: Yes.
Ashley: Train your brain. We’re going to look at this series called brain training. And I was very concerned at first thinking it was going to be one of these IQ, how to train your brain things.
Carlie: Yeah, we’re going to get Sudoku out.
Ashley: Yeah, I’m not into all that.
Carlie: Then we’re going to do Scrabble.
Ashley: I’m not into that.
Carlie: Right.
Ashley: Look at images and try and … No, I’m not into that. I know there’s brain training things you can do. We’re not talking about the literal brain training. What are we talking about?
Carlie: Today we’re talking about how to get our thought life in line with the word of God, so that it becomes a transformational force in our life. In Proverbs 23:7, it says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” I think sometimes actually we don’t realize how impactful our thoughts are on the rest of our life.
Ashley: Wow. Sometimes we let our thoughts … I know I do sometimes without realizing. We just let those thoughts run away.
Carlie: They just go crazy.
Ashley: Our thoughts run away with themselves. And our emotions follow our thoughts so if you start thinking on things and meditating on the wrong things, then you’re going to start feeling those things. And really what happens is we start thinking on something and then now life follows that direction.
Carlie: Yeah, exactly.
Ashley: “As a man thinks in his heart, then so is he.”
Carlie: Exactly.
Ashley: Meaning that wherever the thing we think on the most is the direction we’ll end up going.
Carlie: Amen. The predominant thought is what drives our feelings, our emotions, and then consequently, our actions. And so if we don’t like the fruit that we’re seeing in our life, we can trace it back to what we’ve been thinking on. You just think about this for a moment. I don’t need to be in your … If you plant a garden, some people are gardeners here. Maybe you’re growing cucumbers or lettuces or whatever it is you’re growing outside. I don’t need to be there when you planted your crops in order to see what crops you have. I can go out in your garden and find cucumbers and find lettuces. I didn’t need to be there to watch you planting the cucumber, the cucumber seeds, or the lettuce seeds in the ground. I can just go out there and see the fruit of that.
And it’s like that with our thought life, too. What we’re thinking upon, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he”. The scripture also puts it this way, “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Healing has been a huge part of my testament of our family, of our life. And for many years, I didn’t realize that healing doesn’t start in the flesh. That’s where we see the fruit of healing, but healing starts first in the mind every time. “As a man thinks in heart, so is he.” And this is the same principle that we’ll find that works for prosperity.
Ashley: Yeah, anything really.
Carlie: Or peace or deliverance. Any other promise that you can find in the word of God, it starts by a seed being sown on the inside of us first. You just think about this in creation. In creation, God designed the world in seed form. Every tree produces after its own kind through seeds. People are produced through seeds. We don’t need to have a biology here.
Ashley: Can you explain that? People are produced through seeds. We’re going to go into that, right? There might be children watching it. But if you don’t know, ask your parents.
Carlie: Exactly.
Ashley: But anyway, everything came from seeds, even people.
Carlie: It does. And each seed then produces after its own kind. We need to understand that the word of God predominantly is like a seed. The word is described in the parable of the sower. You’ll find this in Mark IV. How the parable of the sower talks about the word of God like a seed that is planted. When that seed is planted, it bears fruit according to what kind of ground, what kind of soil it is planted in. And some soil is more fertile and produces a better crop than others. What we’re going to do through this series, called brain training, is learn how to identify in our life thought patterns that aren’t necessarily good. If you don’t like the crop, plant a different harvest.
Ashley: If you don’t like the crop, plant a different harvest. That’s good.
Carlie: Exactly.
Ashley: And one way we plant a harvest is by our thoughts. When we’re thinking on something, when we’re meditating on something, then that’s like planting seeds. And first of all, I just want to say this. Just one thought, having one thought, isn’t necessarily sin is it?
Carlie: Absolutely.
Ashley: So if you have a thought that’s against the word of God, contrary to the word of God, that isn’t. It’s when we actually take that thought and actually meditate on it and actually make it ours. Take it to heart, if you like. And I’m just thinking in Luke XII. No, in Luke IV. In Luke IV, Jesus had thoughts. The devil gave Jesus thoughts. He was like, “I’ll put thoughts in his mind.” And there was three things, throw yourself off the temple, bow your knee to me, or I’ll turn this stone into bread. Those were the thoughts that Jesus had, but he chose not to meditate on those thoughts. He chose to replace those thoughts with scripture and actually rebuke those thoughts or reject those thoughts, if you like. Just a fleeting thought isn’t necessarily wrong, it’s what we do with that.
Carlie: Exactly.
Ashley: It’s are we going to take on that thought? Are we going to take hold of that thought?
Carlie: Exactly. And thoughts that come to us, it says Jesus was tempted in every way and yet did not sin. Just because you may have a temptation to act or behave or think a certain thought or meditate on something, or say something, or believe something. Just because that initial thought comes to you it’s not sin. These thoughts came to Jesus. Jesus was tempted with the thought that he might not need to go to the cross in the Garden of Gethsemane. He had to actually withstand his own disciples for tempting him to think upon, “Hey, maybe you don’t have to go to the cross. Maybe there’s another way.” He knew the will of God for him. And he had to say single minded and focused. Otherwise, his flesh could have been weak in that moment. Now, he didn’t sin just because that thought came across his mind.
But what I wanted to draw your attention to today is just the importance of our thoughts and how much control we have over them. Many times I’ll hear on television, or in the media, just in the community, “They couldn’t help it. They couldn’t help it. It’s just the way they are. They just couldn’t help it. They can’t help the way they feel.” Well, actually that’s not what the word says. That we have control over our thought life, that we can rule the air space in between our ears. The Lord showed me this one time. I used to deal with a lot of fear. He used to really plague me, I used to be terrified of everything. Every time Ashley was out for the evening, maybe I was alone in the house by myself.
Ashley: Very fearful.
Carlie: And our fears are grounded in things aren’t they?
Ashley: I remember you had a fear of escalators.
Carlie: Yeah, fear’s irrational. It doesn’t need to be. I felt-
Ashley: When you was very little.
Carlie: I’d fallen down one when I was about five years old and I didn’t like going down escalators. But people have fears and phobias about things and sometimes those are based on negative, previous experiences or traumas. Sometimes they’re just completely irrational. I didn’t like spiders. Now I’ve never been bitten by a spider, I have no reason to fear spiders
Ashley: Fear of spiders is not irrational, I don’t like spiders, I tell you. I have to say this, if you’re a spider person I’m sorry, but I’m not into spiders at all.
Carlie: You’re not into spiders.
Ashley: It’s the quick, send them to heaven or hell, depending on what you believe.
Carlie: Ashley likes to try and catch them in a bowl with a piece of paper. I just like to pound them into the carpet.
Ashley: Carlie’s a pounder. If we have a big spider in the house, I’m looking, I’m like, I’m weighing out, what are my options here? Okay, because you’re looking, he could run. I’m going to get a bowl or I’m going to get this and I’m thinking about it. And While I’m weighing up my options of how to deal with the spider in the house, Carlie just pushes past me with a big shoe and, bam, it’s gone.
Carlie: Yeah, I’m just going to take care of that thing.
Ashley: I’m sure we’re going to upset spider lovers now, but anyway.
Carlie: I’m sorry, if it’s inside my house, it’s trespassing.
Ashley: That’s right.
Carlie: I’m going to use my authority over it.
Ashley: But fear, I remember when we was dating and the first time we went on an escalator all of a sudden Carlie started climbing up and she’s holding my hand real tight and she’s shaking. I’m like, what’s going on here? She had a fear of escalators. That was because of something that happened in your past.
Carlie: Yeah.
Ashley: So like you said, they could be traced back to something in the past, a bad experience. Like if you have a dog bite you, you’re probably going to be scared of that dog. That’s a type of rational. Or whether it’s completely irrational, fear has no place. We don’t want fear in our life, do we? We don’t want to be dominated by those thoughts of fear because really that’s going to take us in a direction we don’t want to go.
Carlie: Right. This is important because we need to learn to identify negative thought patterns, no matter where they’ve come from, and learn how to overcome those. But also identify patterns of thinking that’s good and will bear fruit.
Ashley: It’s almost like recognize what’s good and what’s bad. And actually you can water the good stuff and starve out the bad stuff.
Carlie: Exactly.
Ashley: And the thing is here I think, sometimes we don’t even realize we’re having these thought patterns. Sometimes we don’t even realize that. I know for myself, there’s been times where I haven’t even realized I’ve had wrong thinking about things. And that’s one of the things about deception. The only weapon the devil has over you is deception. He’ll try and deceive you. And if he’s deceiving you into thinking a certain way, then because you’re deceived you don’t even know you’re deceived.
Carlie: You don’t know you’re deceived, that’s the point of deception.
Ashley: I’ve had a wrong thoughts about things, whatever that is, and I haven’t even realized it. It’s really good to expose these things and say, okay, is this good? Is this bad? Line it out with the word of God. The word of God is what’s going to reveal to us if they’re correct thoughts of wrongful. The word of God is what separates.
Carlie: Absolutely. I’ve got a scripture here. This is 3 John 2. And it says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” You see, as our soul is prospering, our physical body will be prospering too. And oftentimes I think we don’t make that connection, that our prosperity, whether that’s financial prosperity or just being prosperous in life, being prosperous in our body, being physically and mentally healthy, is governed by our thought life. As our soul becomes healthy, as we have good mental and spiritual health, it’ll have an effect in every area our life.
Ashley: Because our soul is made out of mind, will, and emotions. We’re saying that your thought life is really in your soul realm.
Carlie: Exactly.
Ashley: So that you’re in your spirit, that’s why … In what is it, in John 4:17, “As he is, as Jesus is, so are you. In this world.” If you’re born again today in the spirit, you’re just like Jesus. In the spirit you’re complete. In the spirit you’re perfect. The spirit part of you is perfect. And that’s really the real you. The real us is a spiritual being when we got born again. But then we have a soul area, and that soul area is made out of our mind, will, and emotions. And that’s where our thoughts are taking place. Our thoughts in our mind are actually our soul, that’s our thinking. About character and things like that, that’s our soul.
And then obviously we have our flesh, which is our physical flesh. We’re made up of those three things. That’s actually a picture of God, as well. But we’re made up of those three things. Our soul is what we’re looking at today. We can change. That’s the area we need to make decisions in. Because our spirits are already decided. And it’s up to us to make the decisions in our soul area, in that realm. In our thought life and how we choose to react to things.
Carlie: And the thing is about our soul, it’s where our thinking is. Our mind, our will, our emotions, our rational thoughts, our personality, our mental processing, our intellect, everything comes from that soul part of us. But it’s not renewed, it’s not renewed. When we received Jesus, when we became born again, we became spiritually alive on the inside of us. Whereas, we were spiritually dead before, we became spiritually alive. Jesus himself came to live on the inside of us.
Ashley: Amen.
Carlie: That’s in our spirit. The spirit part of you is the God part of you. That’s the part where you have your new nature, talks about this in Galatians 5. Now you have the fruit of the spirit on the inside of you. You have love, you have joy, you have peace, you have kindness, goodness, self-control. All of the fruits of the spirit on the inside of you, as it says in Galatians. But in our soul, that’s not renewed yet. That’s our thinking piece of us. Now, I don’t know about you, but when I got born again, even though I’d received Jesus on the inside of me, there was still some thought patterns that I had after I got born again that were the same as before I got born again.
Ashley: Yeah. Everything doesn’t change in our soul when we get born again.
Carlie: Exactly.
Ashley: Everything changes in our spirit. What is that, second Corinthians 5:17. When we get born, again, all things become new in our spirit. But in our soul, that’s why the apostle Paul talks about this in Romans 2 about renewing our minds?
Carlie: Yeah, let me just get there. I have that right here. I says here, this is in Romans 12:2. It says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” That word transform, that transformation, is metamorphose, the word we get metamorphosis from. And so this reminds me of something. When I was a little girl we used to have caterpillars. I don’t know if you ever did this.
Ashley: Yeah, we did this at school. The old caterpillar thing, we studied them.
Carlie: The caterpillar goes into a cocoon, into a chrysalis.
Ashley: Chrysalis. We’d get very excited about that school.
Carlie: You would?
Ashley: Yeah, the little caterpillars
Carlie: Because to me it just seemed to take forever and I was impatient with it.
Ashley: But one day we turned up at school and in this tank of caterpillars, now there’s this chrysalis hanging. I think I poked it.
Carlie: Yes, probably, knowing you. But the thing we realized that even though it seems like that caterpillar is going to be in that cocoon for ages. And the temptation is just to snip a little hole in the end of the cocoon, help it out. It’s the kind thing to do isn’t it?
Ashley: No, don’t do that.
Carlie: No.
Ashley: Don’t do that children if you’re listening.
Carlie: Don’t do that.
Ashley: If you see a chrysalis, don’t poke it.
Carlie: Don’t poke it.
Ashley: Don’t cut it out. Let it have its process.
Carlie: There is a process going on, a metamorphosis going on, inside of that cocoon where the caterpillar is changing. It’s metamorphosizing.
Ashley: Is that even a word?
Carlie: Yes, it’s a scientific term.
Ashley: It is now.
Carlie: Anyway, so it’s completely changing into something beautiful. But if you snip the end off in order to help the creature come out a little easier, actually you’re going to kill it because it’s the act of pushing through. The caterpillar, or now the butterfly, it needs to push through that opening. It makes its muscles strong. And sometimes I think change is not comfortable.
Ashley: No one likes change.
Carlie: But it’s necessary.
Ashley: Most people don’t like change.
Carlie: Most people don’t like change, but there is a change, there is a renewing of our mind that needs to happen that is necessary in order for us to walk in the fullness of everything that Jesus has provided for us. And that’s not necessarily going to be comfortable. I don’t think there’s anything comfortable about renewing our mind. For me to overcome those fears that we talked about, it meant really kind of eyeballing them and facing my fears.
Ashley: Right, face those fears. And actually addressing them.
Carlie: Yeah.
Ashley: And actually-
Carlie: Not ignoring them.
Ashley: Right, not just ignoring them and pushing them, but actually addressing them and actually replacing them. Here’s the thing, when we’re renewing our minds by the word of God it means we have to replace one way of thinking with another way of thinking. One system of thinking, if you like, with have another system of thinking. And how we do that is by the word of God. We start off by addressing, hang on a minute, that’s a wrong thought pattern. I need to replace it with the correct way of thinking. I need to replace it with the truth. I need to replace that lie with the truth. And then we get the truth from the word of God so we find the truth that matches up to that lie if you like. And praise God, we start meditating on that, start thinking about that. We start to choose what we think on. And you have the power to choose. You have the power to choose what you think on. You have the power to choose what to meditate on. You have the power to decide what you’re going to spend your time thinking on.
Carlie: And it’s important that we do that because otherwise, if we’re not conscious about our thought life, we’re going to have no filter. We’re going to let anything come in. I think we’ve talked about this in previous programs, but we need to have a filter. We need to be careful what we’re listening to, what we’re allowing to come in and dwell in our heart. What we’re allowing to meditate on because if we don’t, what’s going to happen is whatever we’re meditating on, whatever we’re thinking upon, it’s going to come out in our words, it’s going to come out in our actions. It’s going to change our emotions, our feelings. We’re going to be people that act out of our feelings and emotions and are driven by our feelings and emotions rather than driving our feelings and emotions.
Ashley: Yeah, be driven by the word and the truth.
Carlie: And it’s really important. Oftentimes we’ll find, though, that sometimes these negative thought patterns have been around in us, in our family, in our community, in our upbringing, in our work place for so long that we don’t even recognize them. Have you ever been around somebody or met somebody that is constantly negative? It’s almost like being around toxic waste all of the time. Everything that comes out of their mouth is like poison. And you can only take small doses of those people can’t you?
Ashley: The type of feel afterwards, you feel drained because it’s every … It could be the most wonderful day or you might be a great thing, but they’ll find something negative to bring out. They’ll find some negative comment or some negative angle, and yet they’re draining to be around. And if you don’t know in your group of friends or family, if you think, well, I don’t think there’s anyone like that. If you can’t think of anyone, then it’s probably you. I’m just kidding.
Carlie: There’s a common denominator there.
Ashley: Every group of friends have one crazy person. And if you haven’t got a crazy person in your group of friends, it’s cause it’s you. But anyway, the negative people, they think negatively about things and that’s because that’s what they’re choosing to think on. It’s become, like you said, a pattern. And we don’t realize that we’ve created this pattern, the Bible calls them strongholds, and what happens is that we end up filtering everything through that stronghold, through that way of thinking. We end up, and you can have two people dealing with the same situation, but one person is thinking according to the word and has got a renewed mind and is thinking by truth. And one person who’s got an unrenewed mind, they’re thinking just as a carnal person and they’re seeing it as negative. And they’re going to get completely different results, even though they’re facing the same situation.
Carlie: Because of how they’re filtering it, because of how they’re processing it. We can actually come to the point where we apply the word of God, and the scripture here calls it, renewing our mind. We call this brain training, but the correct biblical term is mind renewal. Our soul, our thinking is not renewed. It needs to be worked on, it needs some work. It needs to be renewed. If we’re to see transformation in our life, in our health, in our physical health, in our mental health, in our financial health, in the health of our relationships and those are people around us, it means that we need to stop being conformed to this world. We’re not called to be like the world, we’re called to be completely different. The world will brainwash us. It will train our brain, it will brainwash us according to its philosophies and its ways of thinking.
But the word of God is often opposite. The biblical way of doing things, the way that God set the world up and designed us to function, which is the best way, and the optimal way is often opposite to the training that we receive in the world.
Ashley: Amen. Yeah, it really is.
Carlie: And so in order to see transformation areas of our life, maybe where we’ve been struggling, we need to get into the word of God and find out what it says about our situation and start to take charge of our thought life rather than just letting our thoughts run us.
Ashley: Yeah, that’s really good.
Carlie: “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Actually you mentioned something that sometimes these thoughts have been around a long time and they actually create patterns and become strongholds. Now there’s a passage of scripture that deals with this in second Corinthians, chapter 10. Do you have that there?
Ashley: I have it right here. It’s in Corinthians, chapter 10. We’ll start here in verse four. This is second Corinthians, 10:4. It’s the apostle Paul saying, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” Verse five, “Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity, to the obedience of Christ.” It’s very important to realize here that what Paul’s talking about is our thought life. He’s talking about our thinking, he’s talking about our soul realm. And he says any high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.
Well imagine this, if you have a thought that’s against the word of God, that thought whatever it might be, it might be to do with healing. Basically any thought you have that goes contrary to the word of God. Any thought that you have that doesn’t line up with God’s will for you, that doesn’t line up with truth is trying to exalt itself above the knowledge of God. And then Paul says here, “Bringing every thought into captivity, to the obedience of Christ.” It’s your responsibility, it’s my responsibility to bring those thoughts into captivity, put them in prison if you like, capture them. And then make them obedient to Christ. How you do that? How do you practically do that?
Carlie: We’ll go through a few things in a minute because I want to take time on that point there. But firstly, let’s just back up here to verse three. Is says, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh” Our fight is not with the enemy. I know it’s not necessarily popular to say this, but oftentimes we blame the devil for things that he really doesn’t have the power to do. We give him more power.
Ashley: Right, he doesn’t have the authority. He’s a defeated foe.
Carlie: He’s defeated.
Ashley: He’s a defeated foe. He’s under our feet.
Carlie: Jesus whipped him, he defeated him. He’s dealt with the enemy.
Ashley: All we have to do is resist him, we still have to resist the enemy.
Carlie: But our biggest battle now is not with the enemy.
Ashley: We still have to resist the enemy.
Carlie: Right. But it’s between our ears. It’s in our mind. Look at this in verse four, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for pulling down a stronghold to the casting down imaginations and everything that I think that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.” But as our knowledge of God grows, as our understanding of God grows, as our understanding of just how big Jesus is on the inside of us becomes we’ll understand the authority that we have over the enemy. And just how weak and pitiful he really is. Now we do resist him, but we resist him through the knowledge of God, not through fighting him. Our fight is not with the enemy. Jesus fought him for us.
The way that we resist the enemy, as it actually said, is our understanding of who we are in Christ. Our understanding is the knowledge of God and the weapons that we have on the inside. And knowing who our real enemy is. Our real enemy, our biggest battle we’re ever going to have is with self doubt, is with unbelief is the fluff between our ears, is with our own negative pattern of thinking. We’re going to carry on with this in our next lesson. But the casting down of imaginations and the pulling down of strongholds, this is talking about our pattern of thinking that has been going on for so long it’s become established. It’s become normal.
And so there’s many different ways, and we’re really going to get through so I encourage you to stay with the whole course on brain training. We’re going to identify practical ways that we can spot negative thinking in our life, or positive thinking, and use those to our advantage. How we can actually train our brain to think according to the word of God and get the word of God results rather than following through and perpetuating a negative way of thinking that’s producing bad fruit in our life. We’re going to focus on the good fruit.
Ashley: Amen. And how to get God results.
Carlie: Amen. God results.
Ashley: I’ve got a testimony here.
Carlie: Yeah, carry on.
Ashley: This is HJ from Namibia. And they said, “I started watching your program online near the end of March. My business had been very dry since the beginning of the year and I was worried about my future. I could not pay the school fees for my daughter or the monthly bills for my cars. However, after the second week of watching your program, I understood that I must live by faith and trust God. God started opening doors for my business. I got a big project that will take just five days to complete. And the value of that project is around $20,000.”
Carlie: Praise God.
Ashley: That’s awesome. “I’m happy because I have four more of these projects in one month.” Praise the Lord, HJ, that is awesome. You made a decision there to rather than just be thinking on the, you haven’t got enough and the negative and how dry your business was or how slow your business is being, he had a decision to make. And he decided to say, now I’m going to start believing God’s word. I’m going to change my thoughts, I’m going to start believing God’s word and I’m going to start trusting in God. And look what happened. Things turned around for him and he saw an increase.
Carlie: Amen. “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”
Ashley: So is he. HJ, I pray for even more increase on you, praise God. Increase coming your way ON your business. That’s God’s will for you.
Carlie: Amen, amen.
Ashley: Awesome, praise God.
Carlie: Absolutely.
Ashley: Awesome. Well, thanks for joining us today. You want to pray for the viewers and the listeners before we go.
Carlie: Yeah, absolutely. Father, I just thank you that you have given us the mind of Christ. That you have given us the ability to take every thought captive and cast down and identify every stronghold, every vain imagination. And to think on godly things. Lord, I thank you that you are with us, that you are in us, that you are bringing these things to light on the inside of us. Holy spirit, I thank you that you are helping our viewers, our listeners, to identify right now those very strongholds in their life, those patterns of unbelief, those patterns of wrong thinking. That we can spot them and identify them so that we can cast them down and start walking in the freedom in the life-giving thoughts that you have for us.
Ashley: Yeah, thank you Jesus.
Carlie: With thoughts that will produce life and peace. And right now we take authority over sickness, over disease, over depression.
Ashley: In Jesus’ name.
Carlie: Over fear and anxiety. We take authority over those things in the name of Jesus.
Ashley: In Jesus’ name.
Carlie: And Lord, we receive from you every good and precious gift. Thank you, Lord.
Ashley: Amen. Lord, I think you, you’ve equipped every one of us with everything we need to be victorious. Praise God. Thank you, Lord. You’ve paid the price for us to live a victorious life. And I think, Lord, you’ve given us the ability to choose what we think. And I think it will for every listener every viewer today. I thank you Lord, you’ve given them the boldness and you’re helping them to choose what to think on, in Jesus name. Thank you, Lord. God’s so good. Isn’t God good?
Carlie: Amen, amen.

Carlie: I’m really excited about this brand new series called Brain Training. Did you know that we can actually identify patterns of thinking in our life that are causing destruction, turn them around, line our thoughts up with what the word of God says about our situation, and start seeing good fruit produce in our life? If we don’t like the harvest, sometimes we just got to change the crop. Amen.
And so one tool I want to make sure that you are aware of is our confession card. We have a confession card here, it is loaded with scripture. It talks through who you are in Christ. Sometimes a good dose of the word of God can be life transforming on the inside of us. I want to make this sure that you understand that this confession card is available completely free through our ministry for every one of our viewers. The details are right there on the screen. You can start renewing your mind today. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Get your confession card today.

Ashley: When you worry, that can be you’re basically meditating on negative results that haven’t even happened yet. In fact, when we worry, we’re projecting ourself into the future to try and deal with problems that haven’t even come about yet and that can produce fear. Because if you start worrying, how’s this going to work out? Maybe you’re worried about running out of money. This is a common one people have.
Carlie: Yeah, fear of lack.
Ashley: Fear of lack, they’re going to run out of resources. And you know what happens is you’ll start thinking, oh man, how am I going to pay the bills next week? This bill’s coming due in a week’s time. And they’ll project themselves in the future and worry. Now it’s good to be responsible and things like that, but if you meditate on that problem and you start worrying about it, basically you start meditating on it constantly. Then fear is going to come in.
