Do you know if you don’t know the purpose of something, then you’re not going to understand it, and you’re not going to get the benefit of it. Today we’re going to be talking about something very controversial, you don’t want to go anywhere.

We’re talking about something very controversial, something that can be misunderstood. So when I start telling you what we’re teaching on, don’t turn off. I dare you. I dare you to watch this whole-
Carlie:
It’s a challenge.
Ashley:
Show, praise God. But here’s what we’re going to talk about today. We’re going to talk about today how it’s God’s will for you to be rich.
Carlie:
Amen.
Ashley:
God’s will for you is to be rich. I don’t care where you’re listening from. We have over 200, no, 350 million households that can receive this television program daily. So I know there’s people watching on every continent in the world. I’m telling you, wherever you’re watching from, do not turn off. This is God’s will for you. This is going to bless you. You’re going to find out why God wants you rich, why God wants you to prosper, and it’s going to be powerful, praise God.
Carlie:
Come on.
Ashley:
Often we’ll teach this and we’ll often have people, type of get upset. They don’t understand. I heard this story one time about a lady who bought her father, an elderly father, an iPad. Do you remember when iPads first came out?
Carlie:
Oh my goodness.
Ashley:
I don’t even know if I’m allowed to talk about products on television but-
Carlie:
Well, it’s a bit late now. Look, product placement right there.
Ashley:
But an iPad, product placement, I love my iPad. And she bought her dad an iPad, and she went to visit him a few months later. And she said, “Dad, how’d you like your Christmas present?” And when she got there, he said, “I love it. Thank you so much. I really it.” She said, are you using it? He said, “I’m using it. I’m really enjoying the Christmas present you bought me.” And he went into the kitchen, and there he was, chopping carrots on his iPad, put it in the dishwasher. He had no idea what it was. He thought it was a chopping board.
Ashley:
So if you don’t know the purpose of something it’s going to get abused, and you’re not going to get the benefit of it. You’re not going to fully understand it. And that’s why today we’re going to look at some myths. We’re going to look at some reasons why people don’t understand that it’s God’s will for them to be rich.
Ashley:
As soon as you start talking about this people start thinking, well, I’m not into greed, I’m not into that. We’re not talking about that today. We’re talking about God’s will for you. If you’ve got your Bibles, turn to second, we’re going to start here. Well, let’s start in Proverbs 10:22. This is Proverbs 10:22. It says, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and he adds no sorrow to it.” The blessings of the Lord make one rich, and he adds no sorrow to it. The rich word here, the word that’s used for rich here in the Hebrew, actually talking about possessions. It’s talking about things.
Carlie:
So it’s not spiritually rich?
Ashley:
Not just talking about spirit-
Carlie:
Because I’ve heard a lot of people misinterpret that scripture because they believe deep down that the vow of poverty is holy.
Ashley:
Right. And we’re going to look at that. We’re going to look at some of these things, but you’re right. People think, well, this is just talking about spiritually rich. He’s not talking about rich literally. But you know what? When you look at it, this word rich in the Hebrew is talking about actual possessions, talking about things. In fact, we can go down here and look at a couple of verses.
Ashley:
Well, let me give you a New Testament scripture, and then we’re going to go back and look at some of the verses, Old Testament and New Testament, to define the word rich. So we’re going to look at the word rich first, because that seems to be something that’s controversial. People are… And we understand what the word rich means in the New Testament and the Old Testament, in the Greek and the Hebrew. Then I’m going to look at why God wants you to be rich. Why it’s God’s will for you to be rich, and the importance of the body of Christ.
Ashley:
Getting a hold of this wherever you live, wherever your financial situation is, that’s not the issue today. The issue is that it’s God’s will for you to be rich. And we don’t understand. If we don’t know God’s will for something, how are we going to be able to pray a prayer of faith? How are we going to be able to believe for it? How are we going to be able to receive it?
Carlie:
Right.
Ashley:
In fact, I challenge people, if you don’t believe this, you’re not going to be able to receive it. So you need to understand and believe why it’s God’s will. So let’s look at… You’ve got 2 Corinthians 8:9, they’re one of my favorite scriptures in the whole world.
Carlie:
Yep, 2 Corinthians 8, verse 9. It says here “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes he made himself poor, that through His poverty, you might be rich.”
Ashley:
Amen. So you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, for your sakes He became poor. So the us, that’s me and you, that’s you watching at home. He chose to become poor so that we could be made rich. And again, we’re going to look at this word rich. In the Hebrew this word, rich, we can find it in other places, Psalm 52:7. Let me read you this one. This is Psalms 52:7. “Here is the man who did not make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches.” This is talking about possessions. This is a man who did not make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches. Talking about how this guy here, wasn’t a godly man, and he trusted in his riches. We’re not talking about spiritual riches. We’re talking about literal riches. We took it about wealth. We talking about money, possessions.
Ashley:
Okay. Another scripture here is Psalm 49. Psalm 49, verse 16 says, “Do not be afraid when…” And in the amplified, it says, “An ungodly person.” So, “do not be afraid when one becomes rich, when the glory of his house is increased; for when he dies, he shall carry nothing away. His glory should not be descend after him.” So again, this word, exactly the same word, exactly same Hebrew word. When it’s used in other places in the Old Testament, it’s talking about money. It’s talking about possessions. It’s talking about stuff. It’s not just talking about spiritually riches, it’s talking about stuff. And this word here is… So many times people say, “Well, this Proverbs 10:20, God’s going to make one rich. And adds no sorrow to it.”
Ashley:
I was just talking about spiritually rich. Of course, God’s going to make us spiritually rich. Of course, God wants to have these things. But right here in context, this word is talking about actual possessions, money, wealth. Now we can argue about what’s rich in different… It depends on your situation, what rich is, but I just want to focus and make sure you understand the word here in these verses is talking about rich, talking about money, possessions, and things like that.
Ashley:
The New Testament example, we looked at 2 Corinthians 8:9. That word again, in the Greek, is talking about possessions. Is talking about money. In fact-
Carlie:
Isn’t this whole chapter talking about giving and [crosstalk 00:06:04].
Ashley:
The 2 Corinthians chapter 8 and 2 Corinthians chapter 9, the apostle Paul is talking all about money, finances, offerings, stewardship. So the whole context of that verse is definitely a financial verse. Is definitely talking about finances.
Carlie:
So when people talk about being spiritually rich, you really had to take it completely out of context of the rest of the chapter.
Ashley:
You have to take that out of context to get just spiritually rich out of that. Yeah. It’s definitely talking about money and finances. And the word rich here in the Greek, it means to become. We got the definition, it’s talking about to become wealthy.
Carlie:
Yeah.
Ashley:
And to be-
Carlie:
Actually it means to be wealthy, to be increased with goods, to be rich.
Ashley:
To be made rich.
Carlie:
Materially rich.
Ashley:
To wax rich, to be made rich, to become… And I like how it says, “We have goods increased with goods.”
Carlie:
Yeah.
Ashley:
Tangible things. Not just rich because your life’s going well. Not just rich because whatever you want to account to that. Well, I’m a rich person because I have I’ve family. I’m a rich person, I have kids. Amen. That’s awesome. And that’s far more important than money. If you’ve your family, and things that are far more important. We’re not saying that money is any more important. But what we want to say is that here, we’re talking about money. This word rich is talking about wealth. It’s talking about finances. It’s talking about possessions, the substance of your house, the things you have.
Carlie:
To me, this just makes logical sense. If we’ll all agree that the Lord is, He’s the best father.
Ashley:
Okay.
Carlie:
Amen? And the best father would want his kids to be well taken care of.
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
So it wouldn’t make sense for him to own the cattle on a thousand hills, and pave his streets with gold, and yet want his children to live in poverty. That doesn’t even make sense. If He’s a good, good father, then he’s going to want his kids to be taken care of.
Ashley:
Amen. That’s right. If you, if you’re a parent out there, you want your kids, you want your children, however old or young they are, you want them to do well. You want them to be taken care of. You don’t want them to be having to beg, or go without, or not have enough money to pay for things. So yeah, if we’d logic this out in the natural, a natural parent, if they’re a good parent, would want their child to have enough substance in their house, and to be able to actually pay for things. So why do we think God is any different? Why do we think God is a God that is not going to provide for us? And we’re going to look at some of this about how God is our provider.
Ashley:
So this word rich here in the Greek here, is talking about having possessions. It’s talking about to prosper. In fact, 3 John chapter one, verse two. 3 John 2 says it this way, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” Similar word here used, prosper. In fact, this version of it, which is taken from the same word, that was a rich in 2 Corinthians 8:9, the same word, just a form of that word comes out. And it says here that it means to prosper and to succeed in business affairs.
Carlie:
Wow.
Ashley:
So this word right here in 3 John verse 2, there’s no chapters in 3 John, so it’s chapter one, verse two. If you want an electronic Bible-
Carlie:
He got to the point real quick, when he wrote that.
Ashley:
3 John 2, it says that it means to succeed in your business affairs. To succeed in your business affairs. We’re not just talking about spiritually rich here. So this is something we’re talking about, rich being possessions. We’re talking about rich being the wealth of your house. We’re talking about rich being the things that you have. And this could be relative wherever you are right now. If you’re watching this in North America, then too late, you’re already rich. He goes, “Actually, I’m not into being rich. I just live a very simple life. I’m not into being rich, I’ve got hardly anything.” Well if you’re just living here in North America, then you’re already rich. You’re richer than 90% of the world. They say that if you can spend $10 today, $10 today, then you’re richer than 90% of the world. So it’s too late. If you’re in North America, you’re already rich.
Ashley:
If you’re watching from another continent, I’m telling you, God still wants you rich. It’s regardless of your circumstance, the word of God still works in any continent. I’ve seen this work in Africa, in Asia. I’ve seen this work in all sorts of places. God’s will for you is to be rich. God’s will for you is to have your needs met.
Ashley:
In fact, let’s look at what it means. What God’s will for us is, if you like, when it comes to finance, when it comes to riches. And that’s 2 Corinthians 9:8. So 2 Corinthians 9:8, we’re going to read this, and then I’m going to show you some other things. 2 Corinthians 9:8. Put it this way-
Carlie:
You want me to read that?
Ashley:
Yeah, go ahead.
Carlie:
It says, “God is able…” Am I reading the right scripture?
Ashley:
Yes.
Carlie:
“GOd is able to make all grace abound toward so that you, always having enough of everything, may abound to every good work.”
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
There’s no insufficiency in there.
Ashley:
No, there’s no-
Carlie:
There’s no, not enough. There’s no lacking there.
Ashley:
Yeah, that’s right. So God is able to make all grace abound towards you, that you, having all sufficiency in all things. All sufficiency in all things means that you have your needs met. Your needs are going to be met, and it doesn’t just stop there. You’re going to have an abundance for every good work. So in fact, you’re going to have more than enough. That’s God’s will for you financially. Now, wherever you living in the world, wherever your circumstance is, that means your needs are going to be met. There’s going to be different needs in different parts of the world, but your needs are going to be met, and you’re going to have extra. You’re going to be having extra. And that’ll look different for different people, but it means your needs are met, and you’re going to have extra.
Carlie:
Amen.
Ashley:
That’s what rich means. You’re going to be made rich. You’re going to have more than enough. God’s promise to you is that you’re going to be made rich. The blessings of the Lord makes one rich and he adds no sorrow to it. This isn’t something that people are going to have to strive, and they’re going to have to sacrifice their family, or their health for, this is something that the blessing of the Lord produces.
Ashley:
Now we have our part to play, and we’re going to look at some of that, but this is something that basically is going to come about because they’re blessed. Because the blessing of the Lord.
Carlie:
And it’s who God is. It just matches up to his character in nature. He always over provides.
Ashley:
Amen, he does.
Carlie:
He never makes just enough. I’m just thinking when Jesus multiplied the loaves and the fishes, there was more than enough. Jesus’ sacrifice, his blood, was more than enough to pay for the sins of the whole world. He always oversupplied. There’s never a shortage.
Ashley:
God’s a god of abundance.
Carlie:
Amen. He’s never going to lay out a spread, and have people come around and run out of food.
Ashley:
Never.
Carlie:
It’s always going to be too much.
Ashley:
I had a pastor friend one time and he said, “Whenever you do an event, especially if you invite the lost, especially if you invite people that aren’t born again yet.” He said, “Never run out of food.” He said, “Because God’s very nature is always having an abundance and more than enough.” And it’s so true.
Carlie:
He’s a god of multiplication after all.
Ashley:
He’s a god of multiplication. When he fed the 5,000, there was more than enough. In fact, they actually were full, and these were big strong men. So they can eat, and eat, and eat, until they’re full. And they’re like, “Food coma, I’ve had too much to eat now.” Not that I’ve ever been there.
Carlie:
They had to wear their loose pants.
Ashley:
I’ve never overeaten. But they were full up, and they had 12 baskets leftover. That’s God’s way of providing. And so this pastor friend of mine says, “Well always put on more than enough food.” And sometimes the elders are given flak, “Oh, you had too much food.” He said, “I’d much rather have too much because it’s representative of who God is.” God’s very nature is a god of abundance. He’s not a god of poverty. He’s not a god of lack of abundance. And His will for you is to be made rich. Praise God, the blessings of the Lord make one rich and he adds no sorrow to it. Amen.
Ashley:
So I’m excited about this. We’re going to spend a few lessons, or a few programs covering these lessons because we need to understand the truth of these things. Like I started off is, if you don’t understand the purpose of something, if you don’t understand the reason why God wants you to have these things, then you’re either going to abuse them, or you’re going to neglect them and not use them at all.
Ashley:
You’re either going to completely say, “I don’t want any part to play with that. I don’t want any part of that. I don’t want any part of that God making me rich.” Or you’re going to abuse it, and you’re going to go in the other ditch, and you’re going to start focusing on it.
Ashley:
So this isn’t something that we’re meant to focus on this. This isn’t something that we’re meant to idolize. This is something that comes through the blessing of God. And the blessing of God makes one rich. And that’s what God wants for you today, praise God. So I’m excited. We’re going to share some more things. And what we’ve been talking about, is if we don’t understand that it’s God’s will for us to be rich… Well, first of all, we looked at what the meaning of rich is in terms of when rich is used in the Old Testament and the New Testament. It’s talking about possessions, it’s talking about money, it’s talking about wealth-
Carlie:
Material wealth.
Ashley:
Material wealth, not just spiritual wealth, material wealth. And we looked at those things in New Testament and Old Testament. And also we looked at if you don’t understand that it’s God’s will for you to be rich, then why are you going to believe for it? And what we’re going to look at today is why God wants us rich. Why does God want to make us rich? What’s the purpose of it? Why does He want us to be rich?
Ashley:
And the first point I’ve got here, is because he loves us. God loves you. Wherever you’re watching from, wherever you’ve been, wherever you’ve come from. It doesn’t matter where you live, it doesn’t matter your education, your age, any of that, none of that matters with God. God loves you. If you’re watching this program then I’m telling you, God loves you. He’s passionate about you. He chased you down, praise God. John 3:16, the most famous verse in the world, He loved you so much that He gave his only begotten son. So you don’t have to perish, praise God, you can have everlasting life.
Ashley:
And I’m telling you, God loves you today.
Carlie:
That’s the gospel.
Ashley:
That’s the gospel truth right there. And there’s people watching right now, and you say, “Ashley, you don’t understand who I am, or where I’ve come from.” You know what? That none of that matters. The truth is God loves you. And this is the basis of why God wants us to be rich. Why God wants us to succeed, because he loves us. He pays you child support.
Ashley:
He does, He pays His child support, that’s good. He pays His child support. We have our own children, we have three children. And then we have sponsored children.
Carlie:
Eight of them.
Ashley:
From Ambassadors to the Nations, a great ministry. We sponsor these children. And I remember one time, I think my debit card expired or something, and it went on a few months that the sponsorship didn’t come through.
Carlie:
We were delinquent on our child support.
Ashley:
We were delinquent, that’s right. That’s what Davie said. He found me out and said, “Hey.”
Carlie:
What kind of loser parents are you?
Ashley:
Your delinquent, you deadbeat parent, you haven’t been paying your child support. Anyway, God pays His child support.
Carlie:
We caught up. We caught up.
Ashley:
We caught up. God pays His child… God looks after his kids because he loves them. He loves his kids, and he provides for his kids. In fact, one of God’s names, one of the seven names of God, one of his main names is that he’s the provider. Jehovah-jireh, God, the provider.
Carlie:
Amen.
Ashley:
You got that there in Genesis.
Carlie:
Yeah. This is in Genesis 22:14. And it says, “Abraham called the name of that place the Lord Will Provide, as it is said to this day, ‘In the Mount of the Lord, it will be provided.'” Amen.
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
That’s one of His names.
Ashley:
Amen. Here you have the situation where Abraham needed to provision, he was in a situation where he was just about the sacrifice his son, and then God provided for him so he didn’t have to do that. And right there, God revealed himself as I’m the Lord, your provider, very personal. I’m the Lord, your provider.
Carlie:
Amen. That’s something that-
Ashley:
Jehovah-jireh.
Carlie:
We’ve lived that, haven’t we?
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
I can think back times just in our journey, just in raising our family, that we’ve really had to put our faith in the fact that God is our provider. And seeing God as our provider years ago now, we were going to Bible college-
Ashley:
And just going to Bible college was-
Carlie:
That was a whole journey. That was a whole journey.
Ashley:
A step of faith.
Carlie:
Of provision. Ashley, he gave up his job, we moved three small children across country to a town we’d never actually even visited. And we were going to have two of us paying school tuition, and school tuition for our kids that had to go to school, and really not being able to work a full-time job because we were both in school. We really had to rest on that scripture, and what God spoke to me was Philippians 4:19, “And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.”
Ashley:
Amen.
Carlie:
So we moved to Bible school.
Ashley:
It was a big step of faith.
Carlie:
It was a huge step.
Ashley:
I want to encourage you, if you don’t understand that God’s your provider, it’s going to be hard for you to step out in faith. When God tells you to do things. When God tells you, “Hey, leave this. Leave that, go here, go there.” It’s going to be hard if you don’t understand that God’s your provider.
Ashley:
Now we’re going to balance this out. We’re not saying, “God’s your provider and all you do is sit in your prayer closet and pray all day.” No you’re going to put your hands on something. He blesses the works of your hands. But you have to establish this truth that God is your provider. He loves you, and He is your provider. He is Jehovah-jireh. And if you don’t know that, then it’s going to be hard for you to step out in faith.
Ashley:
So we was going to go to Bible college. And I remember, as Carlie said, we had five tuitions to pay, because me and Carlie were going to full-time Bible college. And then our three children, where the Bible school was, the state schools were terrible for lots of reasons. So we had to put them in private schooling which costs a tuition. And I remember telling the church leaders, we was actually associate pastors at a church at the time, we told them we were leaving-
Carlie:
They did laugh in our face at one point.
Ashley:
They actually laughed. So we’re going to encourage you, when the pastors, the leadership laugh in your face and say, “You’re going to run out of money.”
Carlie:
“You’re going to starve.”
Ashley:
“You’re going to starve, this isn’t going to work.” I was like, “Praise the Lord.” But we had a word from God to go.
Carlie:
And that’s really important. God is our provider, but the provision is in that place called there.
Ashley:
Yeah so the blessing of the Lord overtake you, they’ll go ahead of you. So we went to Bible school because God told us to go. And we got a Bible school. We were in this rented house, we were paying the tuition, and then we started running out of money.
Carlie:
So we’re about two months in, and we were the end of our overdraft, and we couldn’t extend it anymore. And we had no money, and we’d max out every line of credit that we could. And we’re like, “God, we are following your will something is wrong here. Something is not going right.” And here’s the grace of God we were following God, and even though we didn’t do it perfectly, we thought we were just going to go to Bible college and be spiritual.
Ashley:
Carlie’s being very kind. Carlie’s being very kind. This one was on me because I thought, “Hey, I’m going to Bible school. I’m going to be a full-time minister.”
Carlie:
“I’m just going to study the word.”
Ashley:
“I’m going to live by the gospel.” First Corinthians 9:11. If you sound spiritual things, people are going to give me material things.
Carlie:
Money is just going to fall on us.
Ashley:
In fact, good measure pressed down, man shall give into your bosom. I kept that secret, people are just going to come, and they’re going to see me walking down the street, and just throw checks at me.
Carlie:
So we just took that-
Ashley:
It’s going to be awesome. So I didn’t work. I didn’t put my hands to anything. Even though I could have worked at the same time I was going to Bible school. Because Bible school was during the day, I could’ve worked afternoons or evenings. I decided, no I’m going to live by the gospel. And this is what happened.
Carlie:
And so two months in, after not working, we had all these bills to pay, the rent was due, we didn’t have any more credit that we can take out. And I’m sitting there thinking, you know, Lord, something is not right, because I know that you’re a God that provides. And I know that you told me that I’m going to live, and you’re going to cover my needs. And I know that you’re not late on your bills. But I said, “Lord, we got two days to go. And I know that you’re not usually early, but if you could be on time, be on time, that would be really good. We got this big bill to pay and we don’t have any money.” And so I put my worship music on, and I’m vacuuming the house, just running the vacuum cleaner around. And as I’m vacuuming the house, I hear the Lord say, “I’ve already provided for you. It’s in your house and it’s in your hand.”
Carlie:
And man I just got excited. I said, “Lord, I know you’re a provider. I knew.” I started getting excited. Now I hadn’t seen anything yet. Nothing had changed yet, but I just knew God has spoken to me. So I phoned Ashley up and I’m like, “The Lord’s going to provide.” He’s like, “Amen. Yes he is.” But it’s in me. And I’m vacuuming with vigor now. I’m excited about my vacuuming. And so as I get into the front porch in our house, and as I’m vacuuming, I hit the baseboard right in the entry by the front door. And in England, the mailbox is in the front door. So the mail comes straight into your house. And as I hit the baseboard from inside the wall cavity, right inside the wall, this envelope slides down the inside of the wall where it can’t be seen, and it pops out onto the carpet underneath the baseboard. I’m like, “There’s an envelope there.” So I open the envelope, and in that envelope is a check, that was there two months earlier. It was dated from when we moved in, and it was enough money to pay our bill, and the next couple of months living expenses.
Carlie:
Man, I just got down on the inside of me. I began praising God so hard. And then He told me to go do your filing. No one likes doing their filing. We don’t do we?
Ashley:
Right.
Carlie:
We don’t like.
Ashley:
Don’t even do filing, do we do filing?
Carlie:
No, now we have help, which is good, but back then we had to our own filing. So I went up and I did the filing, and I found in there an insurance policy that we cashed in that paid for our whole year’s tuition. And as I stood there with the policy in my hand, what the Lord had told me, it really was true. It’s in our house and it was in my hand. The Lord will provide for you. Even if you don’t follow him perfectly, if your heart is right and you keep seeking Him, you stand on the word. I’m telling you, Lord’s your provider. He is faithful. Even when if we aren’t all the way faithful.
Ashley:
Amen. He really is.
Carlie:
He still is faithful.
Ashley:
He loves you, and he wants to be a provider. Jesus put it this way in Matthew 6, The whole chapter of Matthew 6 is so awesome, but in Matthew 6:31, he says, “Therefore, do not worry saying, ‘What should we eat?’ Or ‘What shall we drink?’ Or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after these things, the Gentiles seek for your heavenly father knows that you need all these things.” See God, your father loves you and He knows you need all these things. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” What Jesus is saying here, is put God first place, put your relationship with God, your right standing with God, make that your priority. Make that the thing you focus on and these things will be added to you.
Ashley:
Again, we’re not talking about doing nothing. You’re going to have to put your hand to something. We’ll talk about that later on in another program. But what we’re saying is you have to get it on the inside of you. God’s your father, and he loves you, and he always provides for his kids. He provides for His kids. I’ve never seen the righteous kids begging bread. So I’m telling you, you can take this to the bank. God’s your provider, He’s Jehovah-jireh.
Ashley:
Now the only way it’s not going to work is if you mess it up, short-circuit by your stinking thinking. That’s what I did. That’s why we ran out of money at that time until you had that miracle was because I was thinking, I’m not going to put my hands to anything. So God’s your provider. You may say, “Actually, I haven’t seen the provision.” Now the provisions there, you might not have spotted it, but the provisions there. So God is providing for you, and He is your father, and He loves you. And He always provides for his kids, praise God.

Yeah, so he prayed on power hour and his brother had trouble getting his farm’s, beans planted. So his brother had a farm, he was trying to get the beans planted, he was having trouble getting his beans planted. I’m not a farmer, so I guess this is a big deal.
Carlie:
His seeds in the ground.
Ashley:
They had 10 days of no rain, and his crops got planted. Praise Jesus, thank you for your prayer of agreement. The crops grew, and he got his harvest praise God. So I’m telling you, this is Mark who wrote in and told us this, thanks for telling us that testimony. We’ll agree with you. And we’re here to pray for you, and help you believe the promises of God. So we’re going to have to pick this up next time because I’ve got lots more points to make to you about the reason why God wants you rich. The purpose of God making you rich. The reason, the purpose for it. And like I started this whole program, if you don’t understand the purpose of something, then you’re not going to be able to get the benefit of it, or it’s going to be abused. Just like the elderly man with his iPad who used it as a chopping board. If you don’t understand the reason for being made rich, then you’re not going to get the benefit of it, and you’re going to abuse it.
Ashley:
So before we’re out of time, I really want to pray for you because I want to agree with you that you’re going to experience these riches. So Lord, I thank you for everyone watching and listening today. I thank you, Lord, that you have made them rich. The blessings of the Lord makes one rich and he adds no sorrow to it. And right now, me and Carlie agree with them, for them to receive that richness in their life, to receive that blessing in their life. I thank you Lord, for every need to be met.
