Carlie: Did you know that your words have power? That’s right, you can train your brain through your confession. Keep your confession lined up with the word of God and see how your life can change.
Announcer: Why live a normal life when you could be living the abundant life? Welcome to the Abundant Life program with Ashley and Carlie Terradez.
Ashley: Hello, and welcome to Abundant Life. My name is Ashley Terradez. This is my wife Carlie, and I’m so glad you’ve joined us today in the lounge, praise God. We’ve got a great program for you because we’re teaching from the word of God. We’re teaching about how to renew your minds by the word of God. This has been a series we’ve been teaching called brain training, or how to train your brain, which we was going to call it that but then I almost accidentally said, “How to train your dragon.” So we had to call it how to train your brain.
Carlie: And now he’s been talking about dragon training the whole time.
Ashley: And it actually is not really brain training, it’s renewing of the mind, but we thought that more people would be interested in a catchy title, like brain training, than renewing your mind. So that’s why we called it renewing your mind.
Was it my idea? It was someone’s idea. If you like this title of this series, it was my idea. If you don’t like it, it was Carlie’s. So anyway, brain training is what we’re talking about today. We’re talking about how you can renew your mind as a born again believer. Did you know that God has already provided everything you need for victory. He’s provided it for you already. And it comes through the renewing of your mind to the word of God. We need to renew our minds and see ourselves as God sees us. And in previous programs, we’ve looked at seeing yourself as victorious not seeing yourself as a victim. Just like Caleb and Joshua, right? They saw themselves as victorious. They said, “We can take this promise land.” And the other 10 were like, “Oh no, we’re scared.” That’s two different ways. Joseph and… Not Joseph.
Carlie: Joshua and Caleb.
Ashley: Joshua and Caleb. Thank you. Joseph also is a great example. Praise God. He saw himself victorious. He went down a pit and he came out. He was in Potiphar’s house and he became the ruler of Potiphar’s house. Then they put him in prison.
Carlie: Pit to the palace in one day.
Ashley: They put him in prison and he rose to the top of the prison. Why? Because he saw himself, he knew the Lord was with him. And then Joshua and Caleb, we talked about, praise God, they knew God was with them. And they knew they were well able because they saw themselves differently. And if they saw themselves, the other 10 spies saw themselves as grasshoppers and therefore they became grasshoppers in the sight of the others. Isn’t that amazing that how we see ourselves can really affect even how other people see us, and how we hold ourselves or we present ourselves.
If you see yourself as someone, who’s just a sinner, who someone who never gets ahead, who someone who’s always struggling with things… I caught myself saying this the other day. “I don’t know.” I’m like, “Hang a minute, that’s a silly thing to say. I do know. I have the mind of Christ.” You have the mind of Christ. You do know. You do know the solution. And so “Ashley, I don’t know how to work this problem out.” Yeah, you don’t know how in your natural mind maybe, but you have the mind of Christ in your spirit. And if you’ll pray in the holy ghost, if you’ll seek the Lord, if you turn to his word, he’s going to show you how to do it. So you do know, praise God. Start confessing that, start seeing yourself as God sees you. And in fact, that’s what we’re talking about today, right? Confessing, and actually our words, how our words can train our brain.
Carlie: That’s true. The scripture says out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. This whole series we’ve been dealing with how to renew our mind. According to Romans 12, verse one and two, which is what we started out with, well, a long time ago, a long time ago, we’ve covered a lot since then. But that scripture there in verse two, Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” We’ve talked about how the word, and the heart and soul and mind they used interchangeably, but they’re all connected. When we’re talking about renewing our mind, we’re talking about our mind, will and emotions. We are a three part being, and we’re spirit, soul and body. Our spirits are the God part of us. They’re the part of us that became spiritually alive, the moment we received Jesus, but our mind was unrenewed. Our mind was the same before we got saved, as it was after we got saved.
Ashley: It needs a little work.
Carlie: It needs a little work, it needs a little help. And how there are old patterns of thinking that can actually either produce life or they can produce death in our life. And we want to make sure that we renew our mind according to what the word of God says, because we don’t want to be like the rest of the world. We don’t want to be conformed to the world with all of its problems and trials and depression and anger and hatred and everything else. We want to live the kind of life that God created for us to live. A life that’s spiritually minded and that’s full of life and peace. A life that accesses the full promises of God through faith. Amen.
And in order to do that, there’s this little thing that separates us sometimes from the promises, from accessing in the promises of God, and it’s the fluff between our ears.
Ashley: The fluff between our ears.
Carlie: It’s the fluff between our ears.
Ashley: I haven’t heard that before. The brain.
Carlie: The brain, right? You’re nogging, you think it, you know it, right? And if we’ve got old patterns of thinking in there that are contrary to the word of God, how we see ourselves, what we believe, what we see, what we say and who we become are going to be influenced more by our previous experiences of the world around us than they are by the word of God. God created us to be victorious. He created you, he designed you to be successful and happy, blessed, prosperous, healthy people. Amen. But sometimes the patterns of thinking in our mind can actually cause us to be set on self-destruct.
And so in today’s lesson, and this is the last one in a series of eight parts, but we’re going to be talking about the power of our words and the place that our confession has in renewing our mind. We can actually change our thought patterns with our own words. Our confession is that important. The world was created with words. In Hebrews 11:3, it talks about, the world is framed, is actually built but by words. It’s framed by God’s word. The world itself, the planets were spoken into creation. Jesus himself was spoken into creation. There is a powerful force that we release with our words. And so our words have a huge effect on the world around us and even on how we think.
Ashley: Amen. They really do, it’s powerful. And the example you gave of Jesus, this is something that, when I first saw this I thought, “This is amazing.” The son of God was always there. Jesus was always there. In fact, Jesus is the voice of God. Jesus is the word of God. And that’s how the world was created. There’s so many times that he was with him when he created the world of things-
Carlie: The word became flesh and dwelt amongst us.
Ashley: Yeah, but for Jesus to become flesh and be on this earth, he had to be spoken. So, Jesus as the man had to be spoken and God had to find people to agree with him.
Carlie: He was the fulfillment of hundreds of prophecies.
Ashley: Amen. That’s awesome. So anyway, our words, when we speak things out, it’s so powerful because in actual fact, just in the natural, if we forget about the spiritual, which we can’t, but if we could forget about the spiritual for a minute, just in the natural, when you say something with your own voice, you know your brain has to stop and listen to what you’re saying. You can’t be speaking and thinking two different things at the same time, your brain wants to know, “What’s he saying, what’s she saying? I want to know.” So, it’s so important to speak things out and confess things. And I know some people might say, “Well, Ashley you’re talking about that name it, claim it, blab it, grab it.” No, I’m talking about, you can use your words to paint your future. You can use your words to train your brain.
You can use your words, your spoken words can change things, praise God. I’ve seen it work for me, Carlie has seen it. We’ve seen it with hundreds of people and it’s based in the word of God. So anything based on the word of God, we know it works, praise God. And we’ve seen it, we’ve spoken things out. And sometimes you don’t feel like it. And this is, when it comes to training your brain, it’s getting to the point where, “No, I’m not going to allow myself to just take on all this junk. I’m going to actually speak against it. I’m going to actually proclaim the word of God, rather than just seeing the circumstances.”
Carlie: Absolutely.
Ashley: That we can say what we see and nothing’s going to change, or we can actually say what we want to see. And it makes a big difference, praise God. So, we’ve lived this. We’ve spoken things out and we’ve seen them come to pass. So, I want to encourage you, you can start using your words, you can start using your confession, praise God, to build you up. You can build yourself up in your most [crosstalk]
Carlie: Life and death are in the power of the tongue.
Ashley: Amen. So have a good confession. All of us really are confessing things, if we think about it. We’re saying-
Carlie: What are we confessing, that’s the problem.
Ashley: Amen. All of us are confessing things, and we usually get in exactly what we confess in. And if you confessing things, I know people who say, “Well, I never get ahead. I’m not like one of those rich people. Oh, I’m never…” All these things they took this way, they say, “I’m not going to be able to do this, and this isn’t going to work for me. It’s flu season, I’m going to get sick.” And they confess these things without realizing it. And it’s so important to choose your words, to listen to your words, guard your heart. And when you speak something else, think about what you’re saying. A friend of mine, she puts it this way.
She says, “When you say something at the end of it say, and that’s just as I like it to be, or that’s just how I want it to be.” And she said it’ll change your confession. So if you say, “Oh, I never get ahead, I’m always short of money, and that’s just how I want it to be.” Well, hang on a minute, we don’t want it like that, do we? Or, “Oh, you know what, carbs always stick to me. If I smell a loaf of bread, I put on five pounds.” And that’s just how I want it to be. All of a sudden, it’s like, “Hang on a minute, my car always breaks down in the winter, and that’s just how I want it to be.” So if you put that, it’s a fun little game to play with yourself. If you put that line on the end of everything you say, try it for a day and you’ll realize, a lot of what you’re saying doesn’t line up with the word of God. And a lot of what you’re saying, you don’t even want yourself, but you’re not realizing you’re saying it.
Carlie: It’s really true. I’m back in Hebrews again here. It says, “Let us hold firmly to our confession.” Let’s hold firmly to our confession. You know what, confession and profession are used interchangeably, but they mean to say the same as. To say the same as who? What are we saying the same as? What confession, whose confession are we holding firmly to? We need to be holding firmly to the confession of the Lord. What is Jesus saying about our situation? Let’s find out what Jesus says about it and say the same thing.
Ashley: That’s good. We want to go to the word of God. We want to find a scripture or a solution to the problem, and then we’re going to agree with that rather than agreeing with the circumstance of what’s going on.
Carlie: Absolutely. In Psalms 107:20, it says, “He sent his word and healed you.” 1 Peter 2:24 says, “By his stripes, you are healed.” These are some of the scriptures that we stood on to believe for healing. Psalms 103, “Forget not all of his benefits, he healed all your sins, all your diseases.” When you find the word of God and start speaking the word of God, words have power. What more power could be released through words than when we speak the word of God about our situation.
Ashley: And also we trust our own words more than the words of someone else. So when you speak it out, your natural mind is like, “I trust this, this is my master.” If you like, “I trust this word. So that’s why it’s important to put the word in their mouth. Joshua 1:8, I should say, I love this scripture because in Joshua 1:8, it tells us, “Keep the word close to us.” It says, “Meditate on this word. This book of the law should not depart from your mouth.” This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth. So the word of God should be in our mouth. We should be speaking it. You should meditate any day and night. One of the ways you meditate is by speaking it, uttering it. [inaudible] says roar like a lion, but that’s how we meditate on the word of God.
That’s one way we get the word of God in our heart is by speaking it out. Even just to ourselves, self-talk. I’ll talk to myself. People say, “Are you crazy?” Yeah, I’m crazy. That’s why I need to talk to myself. But I talk to myself, David talked to himself, king David. He looked in the mirror and he said, “Bless the Lord oh my soul.” He was like, “Listen to you, I need to have a little talk with you. You need to sort yourself out.” As he’s looking in the mirror.
Carlie: Give himself a pep talk.
Ashley: Give himself a pep talk, right? And that’s okay to do that. We need to encourage ourselves in the Lord. We need to say to ourselves, “No, we’re not going to do this. We’re not going to go down this road.” Or, “This is how we’re going to react to this problem.” You have authority over you. Someone needs to hear that today. You have authority over you. And so many times we just play the victim, “Well, can’t help it, this happened, my parents… Well, this happened…” Listen, you have authority over you. Jesus has given authority over you and you can change the way you speak, you can change the way you believe, you can change your thought patterns. And you’re going to see different results. If you’re not happy with your results, change something. Don’t do the, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If you’re broke, sick and tired, then change it up, do something different. How’s it working for you? We got fed up of being sick and tired and broke, and we started changing that confession.
We started saying, “You know what, we can do everything God’s called us to do. We are givers, we’ve got more than enough to do what God’s called us to do.” And we started confessing these things and we started proclaiming these things. And we did things, we put our hands to things and applied the word and did certain things. But our confession, we saw ourselves as people that are going to be overcomers, we saw ourselves… And when we hit a trial, that’s what we do now. We go to that default mode of, we are victorious. This isn’t from God and we’re going to overcome it.
Carlie: And you got some tenacity there. There’s a quote I like here from F. F. Bosworth. He’s famous writing, the book Christ the healer. He says, “Your success and usefulness in this world will be measured by your confession and your tenacity to hold fast to that confession.
Ashley: That’s good.
Carlie: So what are you saying? What are you speaking? What’s coming out of your mouth and how willing are you to hold fast to it and to become immovable? How willing are we to take the word of God speak it over our situation, and not let ourselves be moved by the circumstances? That’s huge. I remember one time when I was 18 years old, I was in a wheelchair and I’d had so many seizures. I had epilepsy so bad that I’d actually had some form of brain damage.
And the electricity in my body wasn’t flowing through. I didn’t have much feeling from the waist down. And I didn’t know whether I was ever going to walk again. There was some paralysis from the waist down, and I didn’t know much about what we’re talking about today. And I was a year old believer, but one thing I did know was that God’s a good God. And on the inside of me, in our last session, we were talking about how we see ourselves now. And now we talking about what we saying about what we see, right? But the thing is I started to see myself not as a young girl, destined to a life confined to a wheelchair. And the Lord spoke to me and he told me, just tell your legs what to do.
You don’t need to believe to get up and walk out that wheelchair. You just need to believe to take one step. And so I remember one time, one day, just wait until everyone was out the house. And I felt kind of silly, honestly. I felt kind of silly speaking to myself. But you were talking about how you give yourself a pep talk, how you look yourself in the mirror and you tell yourself how to feel sometimes. Yeah. Because your flesh is listening to you. And I have to tell you, as a year old believer, I did this by accident. Okay. But even if you do it by accident, it’s going to work for you.
Ashley: Even a blind squirrel will find a nut.
Carlie: I was a blind squirrel finding a nut in that moment. But I remember I parked my wheelchair up at the end of our long hallway there. And I started speaking to my legs and said, “Legs, this is what we’re going to do right now. This is what we’re going to do, we’re going to be strong. We’re going to stand. We’re going to move.” And as I started speaking and just had that tenacity to hold fast to my confession real slowly, my big toe started to move. And when my big toe started to move and my foot shuffled forward about an inch, I realized that was the first stage to walking. Now, it wasn’t pretty, and it wasn’t comfortable, and it was just really more of a shuffle than a walk.
But when you start being positive, when you start confessing every good thing that’s going on in your life, rather than confessing every negative thing and basically cursing, what’s going on, cursing your life, there’s power that’s released through your words. Philemon 1:6 puts it this way, it says, “Your faith becomes effective by the acknowledgement of every good thing that’s in you in Christ Jesus. As I stood there in that hallway, I was acknowledging every good thing that was happening in my body. And as I was speaking to my legs, they started to move. As I started to shuffle, I realized I’d taken a step and then two steps and then ten steps. I realize that I was walking.
Ashley: Praise God, and you didn’t have to get back in that wheelchair-
Carlie: I didn’t have to get back in that wheelchair.
Ashley: … At the end it was healed, praise God.
Carlie: But that just came from speaking. That’s the power of words.
Ashley: And what you say is acknowledging every good thing, and so you need to recognize every good thing you have and it’s good to acknowledge that, and focus on that rather than focus on your flesh and your circumstances. It’s so key to do this and to speak this out and say, “I’m the righteousness of Christ.” If you’re struggling with a type of sin or addiction or anything else, you start saying, “I’m the righteousness of Christ. I am free from sin.” And you start speaking those things out. If you’ve got a problem of lack in your life, and you’re finding it hard to make ends meet financially, you say, “No, I am blessed and not cursed. I have more than enough. My God supplies, all my needs according to his riches. I’m a giver and I’m going to increase.”
And you start agreeing with how the word of God sees you. You start agreeing with how God sees you. And it changes things. It’s amazing. And some people say, “Well, actually, I don’t feel like it.” Listen, when you least feel like speaking out the word of God, when you least feel like agreeing with the word is the most powerful time you can agree with it. That’s when you need it the most. When you least feel like it, that’s when it’s the most important time for you to step up.
My friend says it this way, put on your big boy pants. My other friend says, “Pull the farmer [inaudible] and speak…” I’m not going to name him. And you know what, speak the truth about who you are. When you least feel like it, you need to speak the truth about how God sees you. And sometimes you have to do it through gritted teeth. Sometimes you have to do it and everything inside you doesn’t want. Your flesh doesn’t want to, your minds fighting against you. Maybe even people around you are fighting against you, but you step up and say, “I am going to live and not die.”
Carlie: It doesn’t matter what everybody else is saying. It’s more important what we’re saying, isn’t it? Because like you’re saying, we are voice activated. Our body is designed to respond to us.
Ashley: Amen. It really does. It’s powerful. And that’s why your words are powerful as well in terms of only say what you mean. That’s another whole lesson, but real quickly, if you keep saying things and you don’t mean them and they don’t come to pass, then when you start confessing to your body, you’re healed or straighten up in Jesus name, you’re flesh is going to go, “Well, the words you spoke yesterday weren’t true, so why should I believe you now?” Think about that. So, “I’d love to be there brother, but I can’t make it.” No, that’s a lie. You just say to them, “I don’t want to go.”
Carlie: Just be honest.
Ashley: I’ll pray for you.
Carlie: Be honest with your own flesh.
Ashley: “I’ll be there at nine.” And there’s no way going to be at 9:00. You know you’re going to be that 9:30. Just say, “I’ll be there at 9:30.”
Carlie: You’re working on it?
Ashley: I’m working on it. My point here is, I know I’m speaking out by faith.
Carlie: He’s calling them things that [inaudible]
Ashley: I have been known to struggle with being on time. But my point is this, if we just use words idly, and actually say things that aren’t true, it’s not just going to affect outward circumstance, it’s going to affect your own heart. And your own heart’s going to say, “Well, why should we believe you now? You’ve been speaking lies the last few days.” So if your pattern is out, then you need to get to the point where your yes is yes, your no is no. I need you to start seeing your words as important. Your words are important. What you speak out, what you say is important, it affects you, it affects others, it affects the world around you. It affects the world, like you said at the beginning, the world was built on word, it was built by God’s word. We can build our worlds, if you like, we can change our world by the words we speak.
Carlie: Yeah. That’s true. And God put his words… We talked a lot about speaking the word of God, but I think sometimes we don’t realize that God’s word in our mouth is just as powerful as if God has spoken to himself. Think about this.
Ashley: That’s strong.
Carlie: It is. Look at this. This is Isaiah 51:16. This is God speaking. He says, “I have put my words in your mouth. I have put my words in your mouth. I have covered you with the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens and lay the foundations of the earth and say to Zion, you are my people.” God changes things in the earth, through our mouths, through our words. And this is why there’s such a fight about our words. The devil is terrified that you might start speaking the word of God, because if you do, then your faith becomes dangerous.
Ashley: And that’s why maybe it’s so controversial in the body of Christ. People say, “No, you naming it. You one of those word of faith preachers.” I say, “I am a word of faith preacher.” The apostle Paul puts it this way in 2 Corinthians 4:13. He says, “And since we have the same spirit of faith…” You have a spirit of faith. Whether you know it or not, whether you exercise it or not, you have a spirit of faith. You are made to believe. You’re a believer. God calls you a believer, and believe, is what do they do? They believe, is what they do.
Carlie: I’d rather be a word of faith teacher than a word of unbelief.
Ashley: Exactly, we can be a word of unbelief and doubt and lack and sickness, and sin. So he says, “You have the spirit of faith.” According to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke, we also believe, and therefore we speak.” We believe it, and we speak it and we declare it, praise God. And we’re not talking about speaking things out of fear, “I believe I’m going to be healed. I believe we’re going to be healed.”
Sometimes people do that at desperation. Now we’re talking about getting to the point of, “You know what, I know it, I’ve got the word of God in me. I believe it. And I’m going to tell myself, this is the truth, I’m going to speak this out. This is the truth. The truth is I’m going to live and not die. The truth is I am the heel to the Lord.” You start getting to that point of confidence in your faith. Like you said, the devil is mad. He is not going to be happy about that because now you’ve got the kryptonite. If you’d like, you’ve got what it takes to see the promises of God manifest in your life.
Carlie: Oh yeah. He’d love to silence us. Isiah 55:11, it says, this is God speaking again, “So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth. It shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that for which I please, and it will prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” When we take hold of the word of God and we start speaking the promises of God out of our mouth, things will start to change. Bodies start to become healed. Finances start to be released. Demons start to flee, right? The dead become raised back to life again. There is a creative power that is released when we start speaking the word of God. And God’s words spoken out of our mouth is just as powerful as if God had spoken at himself. Man, we need to not be silenced right now.
Mark 11:23, most people are real familiar with this. This is when Jesus says, we’ve got to speak to the mountain. “For truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and thrown into the sea does not doubt in his heart.” We started out this whole series with this, doubts arise in the heart, but we need to be speaking the truth because when we speak the truth, it crushes the unbelief in our heart. Look at this, “… but believes what he says will come to pass he’ll have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask, when you pray, believe that you will receive them and you will have them.” There’s a whole lot more speaking than there even is believing right there in that passage. We need to be speaking. There’s a few different words there that are used for the word say.
I want to look at those real quickly because I think this is significant. Okay? Now the first one that comes out is the word… The first one used to say in that little passage there, is is the word [inaudible], it means a command. We need to speak the word of God as in a commandment. Like when I was speaking to my legs, I wasn’t asking them to move. I was telling them to move. We have authority and it’s released through our words. The second time [inaudible] is lelear and it means to speak out, to use our own voice and to be bold. We are voice activated and our own voice has more power than anyone else’s in our life. The third [inaudible] is saying, is the word lego. Okay. And it means a systematic set discourse.
This is what we get the kids toys, Legos. They’re building blocks. In other words, to speak, to have speech built upon the word of God and to keep speaking.
Ashley: Wow. You can get that picture as you’re speaking, you’re putting Lego blocks together like you’re building something. Lego blocks, isn’t that neat?
Carlie: Yeah. That’s huge.
Ashley: That’s awesome.
Carlie: I really believe that if the things that we’ve covered through this course will significantly help you if you apply them to your life. We started out at the very beginning of this series, talking about how as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. How to identify the stronghold there? In other words, the established patterns of wrong thinking that we have in our life and break those down. So many different ways we’ve talked about, how to overcome in the realm of fear and unbelief.
How to allow our heart to be healed that’s been disappointed or suffered from grief. How to start to see ourselves differently. How, what we see is governed by what we believe. How we see ourselves is who we become. And then this time just talking about the power of our words to create and to break down those wrong patterns and create good patterns of thinking. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Our prayer for you today is that you would take these and the scriptures that we’ve unpacked, the examples, the testimonies that we’ve shared and apply them to your life.
We have so many resources that we want to be able to make available for you. I would love you to be able to get the whole course, to get ahold of our confession card, and to really take hold of the promises we’ve got and start speaking them over your life today, and remember, God wants you to win. He designed you to overcome. He designed you to be victorious and happy and healthy and prosperous in every area of your life. Don’t listen to the lies of the enemy. You are created for something better than you see yourself as right now. Amen. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Amen.
Ashley: Amen. That’s awesome. Praise God. We want to pray for you before we let you go. Father God, I thank you for everyone watching and listening today. Lord, I thank you that you have made them more than a conqueror. I thank you, Lord, that they can have your thoughts about their situation. I thank you that we have the ability to choose what we think on. And right now, Lord, I thank you that everyone watching listening is choosing to think on the good report. They’re choosing your word. They’re choosing what you say about the situation instead of what they see with their natural eyes or their natural thinking. I thank you, Jesus. I thank you holy spirit, you’re our greatest cheerleader. I thank you Lord, that you want us to win. I thank you. You’ve set us up for success. I thank you that no one can block our success apart from us.
I thank you, Lord that as we change our speeches, we change what we say, we change how we think, we change our confession, I thank you that we’re going to see things change our life. There’re some people out there that have been waiting for things to change for years. Someone out there who’s two and a half years been waiting for something to change, and you can start putting these into practice, what we’ve talked today, and you’re going to see that change very quickly. It’s you that’s going to change, and then the circumstances will change. Two and a half years been waiting, you’re getting your breakthrough, praise God.
And there’s others out there that as you speak this out, as you start believing these truths and speak it out, start exercising it. You can see change in your life. Your life is turning around. So Lord, I thank you for that in people, I thank you for everyone listening today, everyone taking this on today. I thank you, Lord, that you are going to be with them as they take these steps of faith, praise God, and you are going to change their world in Jesus name. Amen. Praise God. Hey, we love you until next time. Remember, don’t just settle for living a normal life, when you could be living the abundant life, we’ll see you next time

Carlie: When somebody has a chronic condition, and something that’s quite visual, we know we are not of the world, but we are in the world. And that means we are surrounded, we are bombarded with our five senses. So every day as we get up, we’re looking at something. And someone who has a physical condition, you can see on the outside, it’s obvious on the outside, it’s not hidden. You’re looking at it every single day and you’re experiencing it every single day. And there’s something that happens in our heart. In the scriptures, it describes this as unbelief. It’s just a natural unbelief. Basically, all that means is that your five senses are speaking to you. And sometimes what we experienced with our five senses becomes more real to us in that moment than faith does.
